As jockey Chris Bryen was to be overweight he was replaced by Wayne Glass on DESERT LAIR.

Chris Bryen was fined $100 under AR.120. (b)

DESERT LAIR (W Glass) was slow to begin.

EDWARDSCISSORHANDS (P Spry) jumped out at the start.

LITTLE ZACHARY (N Ogura) shifted out at the 800m making contact with DESERT LAIR.

1ST Kayowed 2ND Gold Mount 3RD Bellrego 4TH Bigga’n’Betta

DANE RHYTHM (E O’Connell) was a late scratching at 1:30pm after trainer B Murray advised that the gelding had injured itself. A vet cert will be required prior to that horse racing. As betting had not commenced no deductions were required.

GOLD MOUNT (R Kerwin) jumped in the air marginally as the gates opened.

TYCOON MADAME (N Ogura) was slow to begin and raced wide until the 800m turn.

MELSURON (J Mckinnon) was slow into stride and raced wide in the early and middle stages when over racing in an attempt to get cover.

WRIGHTY (E O’Connell) raced very wide throughout the race.



RACE 4: MILES ENGINEERING/ROBERTSON TRANSPORT CLASS 2 HANDICAP 1200M
1ST Tycoon Is In 2ND Frisco Affair 3RD Basaltic Banne 4TH Valley Moon

RED SEA (E O’Connell) was declared a late scratching by order of the stewards at 3:30pm when that mare refused to do a preliminary and proceed to the start. Upon declaration of correct weight stewards orded that all monies invested on RED SEA be refunded with deductions of 23cents the win and 23 cents the place to apply on all successful bets. A warning was placed on RED SEA for its pre race behaviour.

FRISCO AFFAIR (C Bryen) jumped in at the start and made contact with VALLEY MOON (W Clasohm)

TYCOON IS IN (R Kerwin) shifted out abruptly shortly after the start and made contact with VALLEY MOON.

VALLEY MOON made the home turn wide.

Jockey Wade Clasohm the rider of the fourth placegetter VALLEY MOON was reminded of his obligation to ride his mount out to the line.



RACE 5: BLACK TOYOTA/DELL JAMES PATRON OPEN HANDICAP 1200M
1ST Frisco Lights 2ND General Nonsense 3RD Gold War 4TH Éclair Magique

FRISCO LIGHTS (S Apthorpe) jumped in at the start making contact with GENERAL NONSENSE (W Glass).

GENERAL NONSENSE hung in under pressure for the majority of the straight.
