App. Josh King in the presence of his master pleaded guilty to a charge under Ar 92(12) it that he was unable to claim down to his approved riding weight in all 5 races today. App King was fined $400.
RACE 1: LOCAL BUSINESSES MAIDEN PLATE 825M-
1st-Mini Style 2nd-Scarlett’s Ribbons 3rd-Mai Maibe 4th-Flash Apache
As J Hoopert failed to arrive on course by the prescribed time due to road works causing him to be delayed, he was replaced as the rider of FOREVER YOURS by D McMaster.
MAI MAIBE (J King) was slow to begin.
FLASH APACHE (A Fancourt) blundered on jumping away.
SWEET SWEET LOVE (R Hancock) raced wide throughout.
FOREVER YOURS (D McMaster) which raced wide throughout, hung out rounding the home turn.
RACE 2: WARRA RACE CLUB PATRONS MAIDEN PLATE 1200M-
1ST-Scotch Rocket 2nd-Spinifex Warrior 3rd-Val De Lys 4th-Navillus Happy
Following the running of Race 1 the track was upgraded to a Good 2
ANA BIANCA (P Payne) jumped out at the start hampering SPINIFEX WARRIOR (J Kehoe), CRAIGLEA ZARA (J King) and GRAPPA (J Hoopert).
WELL THERE YOU GO (R Hancock) was slow to begin.
OZICROWN (T Serjeant) was forced to ease near 1100m when VAL DE LYS (C Kearney) shifted out marginally whilst being restrained.
SCOTCH ROCKET (W O’Connell) made the home turn wide.
RACE 3: LOCAL BUSINESSES CLASS 4 H’CAP 1200M-
1ST-Honour Guard 2nd-Desert Lair 3rd-Solfege 4th-Sam’s Crossing
EMBELLISHING (A Fancourt) jumped out at the start hampering CHROMED (W O’Connell).
HONOUR GUARD (R Jamieson) and SAM’S CROSSING (D McMaster) both raced wide for the majority of the event.
RACE 4: WHK WARRA CUP OPEN H’CAP 1200M-
1st-Ima Joker 2nd-Sandhill Pride 3rd-Bernadecio 4th-Piper’s Point
No racing incidents.
RACE 5: LOCAL BUSINESSE CLASS B H’CAP 1100M-
1ST-Keep Up The Attack 2nd-Raku Tu 3rd-Tornazaky 4th-In My Face
Due to a printing error A Taylor was incorrectly displayed in the race book as the rider of KEEP UP THE ATTACK when in fact App R Jamieson was declared as that gelding’s rider.
GIVE IT A CRAC (D McMaster) hung out badly rounding the home turn and shifted wider on the track. M Kropp through his stable representative was advised that GIVE IT A CRAC would be required to barrier trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to next racing.
