Before the first Race trainer Keith Bell requested his horse BOLD GRANDEYES be allowed to enter the enclosure last and to go directly on to the course. In view of the horses past racing manners Stewards agreed to this request.

RACE 1: PAT’S OPHAN (A. Gould) was slow into stride. STAR GENT app (D. Gay) jumped awkwardly. At the 600m ESCOBAH (A. Parramore) moved in onto KEBLE’S GIRL (J. Warrington). After this incident ESCOBAH was losing grounds allowing KEBLE’S GIRL to move out.

RACE 2: IOIODOKYOO ALOWATI was slowly away Jky (D. Green) reported he lost his iron at approx the 700m mark. TUCKOMBIL FLYER (B.D. Courtney) was slowly away. Stewards opened an inquiry into an incident which happened at approx the 600m mark which resulted in THE MISH and BOLD GRANDEYES being restricted and losing ground. After taking evidence and viewing the film. Stewards severely reprimanded Jky A. Parramore and gave him the benefit of a very grave doubt.

RACE 3: MAGIC WATERS (A. Parramore) and BOITANO app L. Morrison broke through the barrier at the start. A Vet inspection passed both horses fit to start. TIGERS (B. Appo) hung out from the home turn to the finish line. App L. Morrison reported her mount BOITANO hung out from the 500m to the finish line.

RACE 4: CADANSKA was slowly away and jumped in the air at the start. Approaching the 600m tower the duty steward reported that CADANSKA was awkward in its action. Stewards directed trainer Rod Hilton to report any abnormalities to them when the horse cooled down. PETIT POUCET (B. Carne) drifted out under pressure over the final 50m.

RACE 5: Stewards dismissed a protest against the winner CONCERT by third place getter COURTLY DANCE app J. Walker. An incident at the start involving COURTLY DANCE (J.W.Walker) MAGIC GAME (D. Green) and REAL AWESOME (W.J.Cook) was adjourned to a date to be fixed as Jky W.J Cook and D Green had left the course. BOBBY JON (B.Appo) jumped with its head in the air.

RACE 6: HIQUOZ jumped awkwardly. CELESTIAL SPRINTER (B. Carne) was eased at the start and moved to the fence. A t approx the 800m mark CELESTIAL SPRINTER was eased off the heels of BASTEE BERSATIC (J.W. Walker) of its own accord.
