RACE 1: LINDA ROSE MAIDEN PLATE – 800m

Stewards declared BLAZING SILVER a late withdrawal at 11.55am due to transport difficulties.

SIR TOAST, GREAT DROP and MISS ROYALE were slow to begin.

FROWNING, which hung out the entire race encountered the home turn extremely wide. Trainer Mr. Sutton was advised the filly had incurred a warning due to its racing manners.

CIVIDEL raced wide rounding the home turn.

Upon rounding the home turn GREAT DROP shifted out hampering FAIRVIEW QUEEN when endeavouring to gain clear racing room to the outside of MAYNE DEGREE which also shifted out.

Approximately 100 metres after the wining post ANGELS’S AFFAIR shifted in abruptly, dislodging the rider, J. Sharp.

RACE 2: DONOR FAMILIES MAIDEN PLATE – 800m

As J. Sharp was indisposed P. Moodie was declared the replacement on MATES RATES.

CASH OR CREDIT (6/4) was declared a late withdrawal by Stewards at 12.40pm due to transport difficulties. MAISIE’S GOLD (12/1) was also declared a late withdrawal by Stewards at 12.45pm due to failure to arrive on course. Deductions above the line were 45c/win and 31c/place.

NEAT CURLS (8/1) was declared a late withdrawal by Stewards at 1.10pm at the barriers when the filly reared dislodging the rider and burrowed under the barrier stalls. Trainer Mr. Moncrieff was advised the filly would be required to successfully complete a barrier test prior to future racing. Deductions below the line were 13c/win and 12c/place.

DE MARCO jumped in at the start initiating contact with MATES RATES.

SPARKLE EXPRESS was slow to begin.

Approaching the 200m PRANAZIN was forced to ease when MATES RATES shifted out under pressure.

SPARKELE EXPRESS was inclined to race erratically for the duration of the straight.
RACE 3: THE ROCHE MAIDEN PLATE – 1350m

As J. Sharp was indisposed P. Moodie was declared the replacement on FLOOR BOARDS.

TEACHER’S PET jumped in at the start.

At the start UNCLE BADE jumped out while RISDON FLASH jumped in coming into heavy contact.

ZHAREEBA and ENGLISH TURN were both slow to begin.

ENGLISH TURN raced five horses wide the entire journey.

Leaving the 500m FLOOR BOARDS was forced to ease and shift outwards when PENTHOUSE VIEW commenced to tire considerably resulting in REGAL XYLOPHONE checking severely and loosing considerable ground.

Upon rounding the home turn CENTUZA BOY shifted out in an attempt to avoid the heals of RISDON FLASH making solid contact with NOBLE REWARD.

CENTUZA BOY and NOBLE REWARDS continued to make contact on several occasions shortly after entering the straight.

Leaving the 250m IL MONDO was forced to check when racing onto the heals of TEACHER’S PET.

RACE 4: GIFT OF LIFE MAIDEN PLATE – 1350m

A SILICONE GIRL jumped in at the start.

SEQUALO PRINCE jumped out making contact with PURPLE AND BLUE and continued to lie out onto that mare for the first 100m of the race.

PURPLE AND BLUE raced awkwardly at the 1000m.

Leaving the 800m SEQUALO PRINCE shifted out taking PURPLE AND BLUE out and across the heals of OUR REGAL GREY.

Approaching the 700m A SILICON GIRL eased when racing onto the heals of CHARLESCAY when that horse began to tire.

Leaving the 200m MAGNUS REX shifted out brushing OUR REGAL GREY.

RACE 5: QUEENSLANDERS DONATE CLASS 4 H’CAP – 1200m

BALLY MOUNTAIN was slow to begin.

Upon rounding the home turn FOREVER GRAND rolled out inconveniencing BALLY MOUNTAIN.

RACE 6: PETER HENRY GRAINS OPEN H’CAP – 1350m

Approaching the 200m PINK PONTIAC shifted out forcing FLYING FEATHERS wider.

Apprentice S. Van Klaveren was issued with a reprimand for failing to weigh in for 5th under AR144.





RACE 7: THE NOVARTIS CLASS B H’CAP – 1100m

BUCKSAMILLION was slow to begin.

At approximately the 800m MY MARMELADE checked and lost considerable ground when striking the running rail when racing to the inside of BUCKSAMILLION which was racing ungenerously.

BUCKSAMILLION shifted in acutely leaving the 150m.

Connection of LUAMMA, which suffered a bleeding attack were advised the mare would be barred from racing for the mandatory three months.

RACE 8: AUSTRALIAN ORGAN DONOR REGISTER CLASS B H’CAP – 1100m

WINOOSKI, SPUD’S SISTER and SILVER CENTUZA were slow to begin.

Approaching the 750m MAIDEN BREEZE commenced to hang out making contact with the hind of LITTLE CHIP.

Leaving the 600m MAIDEN BREEZE commenced to hang out again, checking off and galloping on the off hind of LITTLE CHIP. Trainer Mr. Seabrook was advised the mare would have a warning imposed for her racing manners.
