HEART OF MY HEART (M O’Brien) attempted to jump the crossing located approximately 50m after the winning post resulting in App. O’Brien being dislodged. As App. O’Brien was transported to hospital and unable to weigh in, Stewards acting under the provision of A.R 142 declared correct weigh as they were satisfied HEART OF MY HEART had carried its allotted weight.

RACE 4: KILLARNEY HOTEL KILLARNEY CUP CLASS 5 H’CAP 1200M-
1st-Kamadiva 2nd-Tetra 3rd-Carn 4th-Be Unique

Approaching the winning post DALINGI was tightened for room between POINTE DANCER (A Holt) and CARN (L McCoy) which shifted in.

Mr O’dea expressed disappointment with the mares run to Stewards and advised that in his opinion POINTE DANCER may not have run out the 1200m of today’s event and may be better suited in races run over shorter distances. Mr O’dea further advised that the mare was on a reasonably quick back up from its last start at Doomben which may not have suited. Stewards noted the explanation.
