RACE 1. ANGUS WICKHAM MEMORIAL MAIDEN PLATE 1100m
BILLIES GOLD (M O’Brien) was slow to jump.
OPTOMISTIC ANGEL (B P Appo) jumped away awkwardly.
HONEY BE WARNED (B Stower) was very restless in the stalls and jumped away awkwardly losing ground. HONEY BE WARNED then ran wide on the home turn.
TONI’S LUCK (Q Krogh) jumped out at the start.
At the 600m MIGHTY CHATEAU (D Green) shifted in marginally causing DUBLING (E Ljung) to be eased with a result that DUBLING raced with its head up for some distance.
DUBLING moved inwards at the 100m causing LADYS GATHERING (C Spry) to ease. After being corrected DUBLING then shifted out sharply. The horses racing manner over the concluding stages brought to the attention of trainer T Dougall.
RACE 2. GORGEOUS COFFEE LOUNGE MAIDEN PLATE 1100m
Apprentice Z Scullie was unable to claim down to his riding weight and was replaced on CHESIL BEACH by Apprentice B Ainsworth. Apprentice Scullie was subsequently fined $100.
PUNK STAR (M O’ Brien) was slow to jump and raced greenly and wide to the 800m.
WONDERFUL TESS (H Phillips) raced greenly over the concluding stages and shifted in under riding.
RACE 3 SANDY & SHIRL’S BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1200m
HI HI (N Ogura) was slow to begin.
MANCHERO (B Cornell) jumped in at the start brushing JADE MOUNTAIN (R Goltz).
CYRANO (F Elliott) shifted out at the 1000m slightly hampering CAPTAIN INVINCIBLE (B P Appo).
JADE MOUNTAIN was held up for clear running rounding the home turn to the 150m.
SHADOW SHOW (E Ljung) rolled in slightly at the 100m placing JADE MOUNTAIN in restricted room momentarily hindering its forward momentum.
CONHENRI (H Phillips) raced greenly in the straight.
RACE 4. KILLARNEY HOTEL MOTEL KILLARNEY CUP BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1500M
BAMBOO HOUSE (A Fancourt) was slow to begin.
At the 1150m HANDFUL OF SILVER (E Ljung) laid in crowding RELEASE ME (B Stower) which was difficult to steady throughout.
BAMBOO HOUSE was eased from heels at the 1150m.
At the 1100m GAELSTORM (B P Appo) was steadied when racing in restricted room caused by general tightening from the outside.
LE MAX (M O’ Brien) was wide down the running.
SOLAR CHOICE (F Elliott) moved in at the 100m causing CHANTILLY MISS (N Nishio) to be tightened for room.
RACE 5. KILLARNEY CO-OP CLASS B HANDICAP 800M
BEYOND THE STORM was a late scratching at 12-15pm on Veterinary advice after being injured en route to the track. A Veterinary Certificate clearing the horse to race is required prior to the horse racing again.
CAPTAIN SPUR (E Ljung) and BOOTSHAKER (C Spry) both jumped out at the start.
LOTS OF MERIT (B P Appo) was slow to begin.
DARLING BE GOOD (S Apthorpe) tended to hang in over the concluding stages tightening LOTS OF MERIT.
