Race 1: CONDAMINE SPORTS CLUB MAIDEN PLATE – 800m

SUNSET IMAGE- Slow to begin.

DRAGON TOPS- Raced wide throughout.

GANADO EXPRESS- Began awkwardly.

WILL HE RUN- Steadied to avoid heels near the 700m.

LOVE NEVER DIES- Raced wide throughout.

SPECTACULAR ROCK- Bumped by another runner at the start. Laid out rounding the home turn.

TONI’S LUCK – Raced wide throughout.


Race 2: WARWICK HOTEL CLASS B H’cap – 1100m

ONE BIG PARTY- Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight.

KEENINSKA- Raced wide throughout.

SANTA FE DREAMING- Slow to begin.

STORMY ARRIVAL- Raced wide for the majority of the event.

PAPA GEE- Raced wide throughout.

RAISE YOUR BANNER- Slow to begin.

LITTLE BLUE-Steadied when tightened for room by ONE BIG PARTY near the 100m. App. E Ljung the rider of ONE BIG PARTY was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground.

OUT OF CHARACTER- Began awkwardly.

Race 3: GROSS WHOLESALE MEATS QTIS MAIDEN H’cap – 1200m

VEGAS LUCK- Jockey reported that the mare failed to muster early speed after beginning well and as a result lost ground in the early stages. He added the mare raced greenly during the event however did run on fairly in the home straight when able to obtain clear running.

JEWEL RUSTLER- Began awkwardly.

FINE OWNER-Slow to begin and after being caught wide was allowed to stride forward and obtained a position outside the leader near the 800m.

MAGICAL PRINT- Raced wide throughout.

GO WEST TO COSTA-Slow to begin and raced wide for the majority of the event.

NEVER IGNORE- Began awkwardly.

Race 4: WARWICK VET CLINIC- CELEBRATING 65 YEARS BENCHMARK 65 H’cap – 1350m

BILLY GOAT- Began awkwardly.

VICE OR VIRTUE- Began awkwardly. Trainer questioned in relation to the improved performance. Mr Baker advised that at the gelding’s most recent start it failed to handle the track conditions on that occasion, which was reported to the Stewards by the rider following the race. He added that as a result of racing on a firmer surface today and based on its track work leading into this race, he expected a forward showing today. Stewards noted the explanation. Jockey reprimanded for using his whip in a forehand manner on more than 5 occasions prior to the 100m.

SIR BLAZE- Raced 3 wide without cover for the duration of the event.

HELL’S KITCHEN- Hampered at the start by another runner and lost ground.

CHEATIN’ CHARLIE- Forced to check when tightened for room near the 900m by JUNDAH JACK. Apprentice M Kai the rider of JUNDAH JACK was reprimanded for permitting his mount to shift in at that point of the race. Bled 1 nostril during the event. Trainer advised that the gelding will be required to gallop 1000m in the presence of a Steward prior to next racing.

CURLEW- Raced wide during the early stages of the event.

JUNDAH JACK- Cast a near hind plate in running.


Race 5: WARWICK CREDIT UNION WARWICK CUP OPEN H’cap – 1500m

ELLIE LA VIE- Saddle shifted forward during the middle stages of the event placing the rider at a disadvantage.


Race 6:FRASER’S LIVESTOCK TRANSPORT WARWICK NEWMARKET OPEN H’cap – 1100m

Trainer S. Iverson was fined $100 for failing to declare App. R Johnston-Bell as the rider of INDUBIOUS by the prescribed time.

Stewards accepted the explanation tendered by trainer L Bryant in relation to the late declaration of B Cornell as the rider of STREET SISTER.

OVER THE CHOICE- Shortly after the start was forced to ease to avoid the heels of MOUNT KOSCIUSZKO which shifted in. Jockey G Geran the rider of MOUNT KOSCIUSZKO was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground.

INDUBIOUS- Held up and unable to improve in the early stages of the home straight.
