Race 1: MAIDEN PLATE - 1000 metres
COVER MY TRACKS hung out for the entire race. Jockey M Goodwin was reprimanded AR 137(a) for allowing his mount SIGRID to shift in nearing the 800m resulting in THE DUST FAIRY to be steadied.

Race 2: CLASS 3 PLATE - 1200 metres
WHITIORA was slow into stride.

Race 3: OPEN HANDICAP - 1200 metres
YALLAH STINGER which became very fractious in the barrier getting its front legs caught over the petition of the barriers and injuring jockey D Evans. The gelding was withdrawn by order of the stewards at 3.18pm. All monies invested on YALLAH STINGER were ordered to be refunded, with winning bets prior to the withdrawal to be paid less 0.20cents in the dollar for the win bets, and less 0.16cents in the dollar for the place bets on the face value of the ticket. Trainer T Button was advised that YALLAH STINGER must pass a barrier certificate to the satisfaction of the stewards before starting again.
GOLD ROONEY which was fractious in the barrier kicking the back gates. Trainer F Cowan was advised that GOLD ROONEY must pass a barrier certificate to the satisfaction of the stewards before starting again. DARING MISS shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages.
Race 4: CLASS 6 PLATE - 1000 metres
Jockey G Bell was stood down for race 4 due to an injury to arm when YALLAH STINGER became fractious in the barriers. No racing incidents.

Race 5: CLASS B HANDICAP - 1000 metres
COLOUR SERGEANT reared as the gates opened and lost ground. Leaving the 200m TYCOON STAR had to be eased to avoid the heels of GOLLY GOLD, which shifted in marginally. CRISTAL KNOWLEDGE shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages.


GENERAL:
Races 4 and 5 were delayed due to waiting on a second ambulance arriving to attend injured jockey D Evans.
