GENERAL: All riders were issued with Amateur Rider Permits as per NQ regulation 3(1) as all permit holders application’s had expired 30 June 2002.
RACE 1: MAIDEN HANDICAP – 800 METRES
LIZZIE’S PICK was fractious in the mounting yard prior to the start. Shortly after the start was effected SIMPLY NINA who was having its first race start, shifted out abruptly causing its rider MR K. SORENSEN to become unbalanced and subsequently dislodged. MR. K. SORENSEN was uninjured in this incident.
RACE 2: OPEN TROPHY RACE HANDICAP – 800 METRES
EARTHQUAKE was hampered and lost ground shortly after the start when CAPITAL POOL shifted in abruptly. MODEL WALKER had a tendency to hang outwards approaching the 150 metre mark forcing its rider MR W SEATON to stop riding and straighten his mount. EARTHQUAKE was slightly hampered in this incident.
RACE 3: CLASS D HANDICAP – 800 METRES
TIME FLIES was slow into stride when a start was effected.
RACE 4: RESTRICTED TROPHY HANDICAP – 800 METRES
DIVISION 1
WAFFIE’S ACE was very slow into stride when a start was effected as a result the horse lost a considerable amount of ground. BOGAN’S IMAGE raced very wide in the home straight.
RACE 5: RESTRCITED TROPHY HANDICAP – 800 METRES
DIVISION 2
No reportable racing incidents.
RACE 6: OPEN TROPHY HANDICAP – 1400 METRES
MR J KEARNEY replaced MR. N CARN as the declared rider for SHE’S A BENNY when MR N CARN became indisposed following the running of race 5. No reportable racing incidents.
RACE 7: RESTRICTED TROPHY HANDICAP – 1000 METRES
MR J KEARNEY replaced the indisposed MR N. CARN as the rider of TOP MUNDA. No reportable racing incidents.
RACE 8: OPEN TROPHY HANDICAP – 1000 METRES
No reportable racing incidents.
GENERAL: All horses were inspected and identified prior to starting at the meeting.
No Bookmakers fielded at the meeting. No swabbing was conducted at the meeting.
