Tactics queried – led. Jockey S Lacy advised that it had been her intention to ride the mare positively today and look to position behind the leaders, similar to how the mare was ridden at Dalby on the 11th of June. However, approaching the 900m it became apparent that she ould be caught three wide and she elected to push forward to assume the lead. Stewards accepted her explanation.

In the early part of the home straight was inconvenienced whilst weakening. Eased down in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be suffering from atrial fibrillation. Trainer L McGee was advised that a veterinary clearance including the results of an ECG would be required prior to the gelding trialling to the satisfaction of stewards.
