Bumped heavily shortly after the start and a short distance later had to be checked and lost ground. Had to be steadied near the 100m when tightened for room by SWEET ADALINE, which was taken in by SHARPAMAL, which shifted in under pressure.

Bumped on the hind quarters shortly after the start and became awkward. A. Spinks reported that his mount refused to settle and pulled very hard from the 1200m. The veterinary surgeon reported that the horse was mildly distressed post-race.

Connections advised that it would be the intention to attempt to ride the mare in a midfield position with cover. The horse settled at the rear of the field. Bumped heavily shortly after the start and was then taken in, making contact with the hind quarters of another runner and had to be checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
