J. Lloyd reported that he had been under instructions to have the gelding in a handy position behind the leaders, however, after receiving a bump from ZOFONIC DANCER near the 1100m, his mount refused to settle and it took him some time to obtain a position with cover. He added that after passing the 800m he was bumped heavily by HANG to his outside and his mount immediately lost ground and was under pressure. He added that near the 200m the gelding blundered, and again inside the 100m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
