When questioned in relation to the below market expectation performance, jockey S Thornton reported that after being hampered at the start and settling further back than she had anticipated SAFEWORK then commenced to over race during the early stages which she felt was a major factor in the horse failing to run on as she had expected in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
