When questioned in relation to the below market expectation performance of the gelding, jockey N Callow reported that the gelding raced one paced in today’s event and failed to quicken when placed under pressure from the 500m. Jockey Callow was unable to offer any further tangible explanation for its performance. Post-race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near-fore leg.
