When asked to comment on the improved performance, trainer reported that the gelding had drawn wide at its previous start at Toowoomba and had to work hard in the early stages of the event to obtain a forward position. From the better draw today, and with the ability to gain the lead with little work, he was confident of a forward showing as the horse had pleased the stable in its work during the week.
