GOOD BOY OLIVER (5) was a Canberra winner 3 starts back when pressing ahead from the 2nd line he proved too strong over the 2170m trip. Too far back in the run at each of his past 2 starts to feature in the closing stages, he is right in the fight here and gives visiting trainer Scott Hewitt a solid chance for a big day.
JACKS AT THE BEACH (2) can look to bully his way to the front here although he would be better suited if this race was at the mile instead of the middle distance. Both his past 2 starts have been strong performances when working in the run around the tight Marburg circuit. He will be duking it out.
TACT OLLIE (1) makes his debut for Darrel Graham and will be having just his 4th Aust start. Arriving from NZ he ran a strong mile 2nd up to score at Menangle and was then down the line behind the smart RAKAROLLA. With a strong trial performance to prepare, he can’t be ignored.
VETTEL (3) shoots for the hat-trick at his AP debut for annual visitor Dean Cernovskis. He was sent forward to the find the front last start at Goulburn and ran a home a strong closing 800m. If he can find position without over-cooking things early, he will be in the mix.
