RQ confirms that after consultation with QRIC stewards & Ipswich Turf Club, the following amendments have been made to the program for the Ipswich TC race meeting on Wednesday 10 October:
As a consequence of the distance changes the starting limit for these races has been reduced from 14 to 12, thus affecting the order of the field for Race 4. Accordingly, the emergencies for this race will now be:
The distance changes have been made to allow the area in proximity of the crossing which recently underwent remedial work additional time to recover.
The connections of those horses which make the decision to scratch as a consequence of the distance changes will not incur fees which would under normal circumstances be applicable to the withdrawal.
All other detail pertaining to the program for this race meeting remains unaltered from that which has been previously published.
The track at 3:59pm today, Tuesday 9 October, was rated as a Heavy 8 & the weather forecast predicts periods of inclement weather over the next 24 hours. QRIC stewards will conduct a track inspection early on race day morning.
