A total $1 million in bonus payments will headline this year’s Northern Queensland Winter Racing Carnival, with the launch of the Great Northern Crowns Bonus, proudly sponsored by Carlton United Breweries (CUB).

The initiative rewards horses that dominate either the Cups Series or Sprint Series across Rockhampton, Mackay, Townsville and Cairns.

Chase the crowns and be rewarded this Northern Winter Carnival with the new Great Northern Crowns Bonus, offering massive incentives across Northern Queensland’s feature Cups and Sprint races.

How the Great Northern Crowns Bonus works

• $500,000 bonus - Cups Series
  Awarded to any horse that wins all four major cups races: Rockhampton Cup, Mackay Cup, Townsville Cup and Cairns Cup

• $500,000 bonus - Sprint Series
  Awarded to any horse that wins all four feature sprint races: Rockhampton Newmarket, Mackay Newmarket, Cleveland Bay and Cairns Newmarket.

• $250,000 bonus
  Awarded to any horse that wins three of the four races in either the Cups or Sprint Series.
