RACE TWO

COOLIE KID (3) will be further tightened from his latest effort when 2nd up off a long break and has the added benefit of facing a sharp class drop. Back in the pack off the 2nd line when making his Qld debut 2 starts back behind KEY LARGO, he found the line in nice style last start after retreating from gate 7 in the early stages. This looks ideal.

TAYLOR HOOD (7) will need some factors in his favour from the alley but with the hope of following the likely leader can be ready to take his shot. Covering plenty of the triangle when wide off the track last start from gate 6, he fought hard to still be within 2m of the winner. Just needs the gaps.

LA SAFRON (2) found the speed to repel the early challenge for the front last start and was fighting deep into the stretch when only 1m in arrears. From the gate he can be in the mix.

BONNIES CAM (6) completed a threepeat of victories last start when finishing over the top of them to claim a stylish 9m victory. This is a step rise in class not aided by the wide gate, but his recent efforts keep him in calculations.

SELECTIONS: COOLIE KID (3), TAYLOR HOOD (7), LA SAFRON (2), BONNIES CAM (6)
SUGGESTED BET: COOLIE KID (3) to win

RACE THREE

GOLIGHTLY (2) was crying out to land a marble after a horror stretch of bad barriers. Landing gate 2 here last start, he took full advantage of the improved alley to pounce on the poles and then dictate proceedings in clearing out to a comfortable 14m victory. Rinse and repeat with the good gate again.

CALLMEDEMARO (9) went around over the AP mile last Tuesday from gate 10 when forced to work home wide off the track. Attacking the line strongly, it was a smart effort to be within 5m of the passing lane winner. Runner-up here 3 starts back behind DONNY JONES, he looks best of the rest.

BACK PAGE NEWS (7) will take good benefit from his latest outing when returning from a spell. Eased ack from gate 6 to find position, he was working home in good order. With an easy trip he will be searching for space.

JILLIBY GIZMO (4) took on the lamp lighting duties from gate 1 last start over the AP mile and led them deep into the stretch when only 3m in arrears of the winner JEROSH. An all the way winner at both of his past 2 outings here at Redcliffe, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: GOLIGHTLY (2), CALLMEDEMARO (9), BACK PAGE NEWS (7), JILLIBY GIZMO (4)
SUGGESTED BET: BACK PAGE NEWS (7) to place

RACE FOUR

WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (2)
was a Marburg winner when working home wide off the track to arrive for the prize in the closing stages 4 starts back. Not too far away at her next 2 starts, she had to split the prize last start when holding on for a split win after a tough run. The gate is a big plus here.

DANCINGINTHEDARK (4) eased from gate 7 over the AP mile last start and from a long way back went to the line searching for some open track that did not arrive. Doing the hard way, the start prior over the 2040m, she held on for the silver behind PATCHWORK JET. This looks a suitable assignment.

DARTESIAN (1) will enjoy the opportunity to settle closer to the action than he has in recent starts by virtue of the ace gate. A passing lane winner here at his last victor back in July, he will be probing.

TACTFILLY MAGIC (8) did some early work in rolling forward last start before taking the 1x1 trail. Finishing mid-field behind the in-form BONNIES CAM, it had followed a luckless run behind that same winner. She can chime in late.

SELECTIONS: WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (2), DANCINGINTHEDARK (4), DARTESIAN (1), TACTFILLY MAGIC (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-4-8

RACE FIVE

He may have landed the wide gate by virtue of some poor starting manners but GOTTA MOMENT (6) looks to have found the right contest to add to his tally. Working home strongly in a qualifier last start behind MY ULTIMATE STAR, he attacked the line hard the start prior. This looks within reach.

DONNY JONES (3) was shooting for a hat-trick of victories last start following successive wins here over the 2040m trip. Finishing best from gate 4 here 2 starts back, it had followed a late closing victory from the 2nd line. Hitting the line in good order last start when 6m away, he can challenge.

TAKITIMU EXPRESS (1) was locked away from inside the 2nd line here last start and used the inside runs to grab the bronze behind a clear-out winner MISSINMEMATE. The gate is a big plus.

VALOROSO HANOVER (4) sat back in the pack last start from his 2nd line gate and with the tempo controlled in front, was facing a tough time in eating into the deficit. Fading in front at both starts prior, he can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: GOTTA MOMENT (6), DONNY JONES (3), TAKITIMU EXPRESS (1), VALOROSO HANOVER (4)
SUGGESTED BET: GOTTA MOMENT (6) to win

RACE SIX

SHADYS DELIGHT (3) eased from gate 3 last start and was a long way back and wide when working home to grab the silver in finishing 2m from the winner PAGO PAGO. Closing strongly the start prior at Marburg, he can look to settle handy to the action from this gate and gets a breakthrough chance.

MONTANA LAD (5) has the wide gate to negotiate here but still brings strong credentials to the contest. Taking them all the way here 2 starts back, he was probing for the gaps last start behind GOLIGHTLY after being locked away 3 back on the poles. He can throw down the challenge.

ALWAYS AT NIGHT (4) has worked his way back into form with a top-3 in 5 of his past 7 appearances. Working home wide off the track last start to grab the silver when only beaten a neck, he can feature once again.

ONYAJANS (1) used the passing lane to grab the silver here 3 starts back and followed that when not ideally suited from the gate at her next 2. The cosy trip/passing lane combo is her bread and butter.

SELECTIONS: SHADYS DELIGHT (3), MONTANA LAD (5), ALWAYS AT NIGHT (4), ONYAJANS (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

A strong race tucked away on the card here where COOL SCOOTER (3) can look to capitalise on his barrier at his 1st look at the triangle. Stripping fitter following his latest outing when resuming from a break, he was 4m in arrears of SMITHSTARS LEXUS in claiming the bronze. Firing the early shots, he will be fighting hard.

STREET APPEAL (9) resumed from a spell when tackling a strong mid-week contest at AP last time out. Settling back in the pack, the tempo was hectic at the front end making it tough for the chasers as the passing lane winner NURBURGRING stopped the clock in 1.50.7. His record on the triangle is not great, but he can look to rectify that here.

ITZ MY GENERATION (8) lines up under race conditions for Darrel Graham for the 1st time off the back of a spell. A Wagga winner 2 starts back, he has been to the trials twice to prepare and off those efforts, can feature here.

MISTER HART (2) sat in the pocket trail from inside the 2nd line last start when finishing 6m in arrears of the winner ROCKN BRUSHGROVE. Luckless the start prior, he can be thereabouts from this gate.

SELECTIONS: COOL SCOOTER (3), STREET APPEAL (9), ITZ MY GENERATION (8), MISTER HART (2)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 2-3-8-9

RACE EIGHT

MAKINMEFEELGOOD (3) only has the solitary win to his name but lines up here following a stable change. Joining the returning DW Graham barn, he has placed in 2 of his past 3 starts, both when leading and being grabbed in the closing stages. A tidy trial to prepare can see him hold on here.

IFYOUBELIEVE (6) was facing a task last start as ALLSTAR SEA set a strong closing tempo at Marburg from the front, making it near impossible for the chasers. Gunned down after setting the tempo the start prior by the handy mare JIVE, he has no favours off the wide gate, but still has claims in this.

MANOFLISA (1) was back in the pack from gate 9  here last start and was too far back when trying to launch a run. His effort the start prior had excuses and with the good trip will be in the fight here.

COUNTRY RUN (9) started from this gate last time out when settling back in the field before making a closing run to grab the bronze from wide off the track. This is no harder and he can chime in again.

SELECTIONS: MAKINMEFEELGOOD (3), IFYOUBELIEVE (6), MANOFLISA (1), COUNTRY RUN (9)
SUGGESTED BET: MAKINMEFEELGOOD (3) to win

RACE NINE

GLENCOE REIGN (6) was sent to the breeze from this same gate last time out after retreating in the early stages. Fading under the toll it had followed a luckless effort at Marburg when snagged back from a wide gate. Finding position without over-cooking it will be key, but this looks winnable.

THE LAST STARFIRE (1) took the pocket trail from this ate last start but could not go with them when needed. The start prior he found them too slick when fading out and 3 starts back the early tempo made it hard for him to offer. With the gate advantage, he is in the mix.

ELLE JAY (9) sat in the pocket trail from inside the 2nd line here last start and chased hard to hold on for the silver. Chasing behind subsequent winner JACKBKWIK 2 starts back, she can feature in this.

MOLLIGUANNA (7) will take some benefit from her latest start following one month between outings with 6 weeks break to her run prior to that. The easy trip suits and she looms as a place hope.

SELECTIONS: GLENCOE REIGN (6), THE LAST STARFIRE (1), ELLE JAY (9), MOLLIGUANNA (7)
SUGGESTED BET: GLENCOE REIGN (6) to win
