RACE TWO

IM JIMMY JAMES (1)
started from gate 10 last start when easing to secure position he was soon at the rear of the pack. On a day where being up the front or on the pegs was the place to race, his run had merit when trying to make a closing raid. Claiming a hat-trick of wins prior, the gate is a big plus.

CALL ME KEITH (3) was sent to the front 2 starts back from this same gate over this same trip and once dictating fought off the challengers to claim the prize. The form out of that race has held with 5 subsequent winners in the vanquished brigade. Fresh when runner-up last start, he can challenge.

CHEESANDKISSES (4) settled in the running line last start and was trying to pick up some late ground in a race dictated from the front by THREE IN HEAVEN. She can be making a closing play.

SELECTIONS: IM JIMMY JAMES (1), CALL ME KEITH (3), CHEESANDKISSES (4)
SUGGESTED BET: IM JIMMY JAMES (1) to win

RACE THREE

He may be up in years but there is nothing to suggest LANCELOT BROMAC (6) cannot win this. Starting from inside the 2nd line last time out, he was buried away and when he found space was picking up a few positions in the closing stages. The tempo looks right for Lance to make a play.

SHEZ ALL SYLE (3) has been runner-up at her past 3 starts in succession, the latest when dropping in behind the leader from gate 2 and then using the passing lane to make a closing dive to be within 2m of the winner. Just a head away the start prior, she finds conditions to challenge again.

GOLDEN SAND (7) may have some ordinary numbers to his name but a lot of that results from his poor barrier manners. If he can get away safely, these are conditions he could give a show.

SHEZALUCKYLADY (1) sat in the pocket trail last start at Redcliffe in a mare’s qualifier and using the passing lane was just 2m in arrears of the winner. From the good gate she will be stalking.

SELECTIONS: LANCELOT BROMAC (6), SHEZ ALL SYLE (3), GOLDEN SAND (7), SHEZALUCKYLADY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: LANCELOT BROMAC (6) to win

RACE FOUR

After struggling to recapture some of his better form, RING THE TILL (8) has worked his way back into touch and will shoot for the hat-trick. Setting in the 1x1 trail last time and finishing too hard, he descended on them the start prior and the 2nd line options put the threepeat within reach.

OFFICE BAD BOY (4) resumes from a spell after being shut down following his last appearance when asked to graft it out from the breeze when just 4m in arrears of the winner. Changing to the Brett Towns barn during the spell, he should take benefit from whatever he can achieve here.

LAZY BLAZE (1) should enjoy a nice trip from this alley and be closer to the action than last time where he was shuffled back from this same gate. A cosy trip can see him feature.

SHEZ GOT BLING (5) has looked sharper at her past 2 starts, the latest when charging late to get within a neck of the winner in a mare’s qualifier here on Saturday. She can make a late play.

SELECTIONS: RING THE TILL (8), OFFICE BAD BOY (4), LAZY BLAZE (1), SHE GOT BLING (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

ROCKNROLL TIMES (6) eased soon after the start from gate 5 last start before making a strong 3-wide run down the back stretch to hit the front turning off the back and pulling clear for a dominant 6m victory. Runner-up in both prior starts, he can overcome the tricky gate to put them away again.

AYE AYE CAPTAIN (5) is moving closer to another win after finishing with the silver at his past 3 in succession. Back in the pack over the 2138m last start, he was strong to the line in the closing stages to get within a head of the prize. Moving one alley closer to the poles will help his chances.

MAYWYN TROUBADOR (1) will appreciate a return to the mile after being forced to sit parked last start over the 2138m. Just 4m away here 2 starts back, he is in the mix from this alley.

ILLBEWATCHING (8) was beaten by gate 10 last start when not really getting into the contest over the latter stages. A winner here 2 starts back, he will be probing for the gaps.

SELECTIONS: ROCKNROLL TIMES (6), AYE AYE CAPTAIN (5), MAYWYN TROUBADOR (1), ILLBEWATCHING (8)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCKNROLL TIMES (6) to win

RACE SIX

After 3 starts since arriving in Qld GOODBOY COWBOY (8) might just have found the right conditions to open a winning ledger. Keen in the run last start where he was having his first look at The Triangle, the effort when 10m away the start prior was a tidy return. With the 2nd line options he can strike.

ARTHUR LOWE (1) is closing in on 12 months since his last victory but comes up with the gate and opposition to look to alter that in this battle. Eased to the poles here 2 runs back before finishing midfield to SCOOB OPERATOR, he has all the options to make a challenge.

MAJOR GENERALJUJON (3) was not suited last start when forced to graft it out in the breeze and the tough run saw him wilt late. Finding position cheaply can see him bounce back here.

MAJORDOIT (5) sat back in the pack from gate 5 last start and was an eye-catcher in the latter stages for the bronze behind FOUR STARZZZ FORSA. Despite a sticky alley he can be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: GOODBOY COWBOY (8), ARTHUR LOWE (1), MAJOR GENERALJUJON (3), MAJORDOIT (5)
SUGGESTED BET: GOODBOY COWBOY (8) to win

RACE SEVEN

Hitting some nice areas since resuming from a spell, MONGOLIAN CONQUEROR (2) can look to show the early hustle to take control, a position he has been unable to secure from 2nd line gates at his past 2 starts. An all the way winner 3 starts back over the middle trip, he can look to dictate here.

MISTERY ROAD (9) was not on the gate from the six-hole here on Saturday in a 2nd division qualifier before rolling forward to sit parked outside JUDDY DOUGLAS. Trying hard but unable to match the leader, it followed a head defeat to THERESACHANCE. He can throw it down again here.

SLIP THE HUNDY (10) makes his first appearance in Qld after crossing the Tasman following his last start on Cup day when midfield to GET UP N DANCE. He looked good in a recent trial and stays under watch.

ISOLATION (3) made the most of gate 1 last start to hold them wide and despite the lead coming at the expense of a sub 27 opener, he was able to fight them off. He can feature again.

SELECTIONS: MONGOLIAN CONQUEROR (2), MISTERY ROAD (9), SLIP THE HUNDY (10), ISOLATION (3)
SUGGESTED BET: MONGOLIAN CONQUEROR (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

THREE IN HEAVEN (1)
made the most of his opportunity from this alley last week over the middle trip, keeping them wide early, securing an easy opening half and then pulling clear in the stretch. With the confidence of that first AP victory, he can look to rinse and repeat.

TEDDY FEELS GOOD (5) was first up in Qld since July last start when sent to Redcliffe where he was completely lost on The Triangle and made a pair of errors to end his chances. Arriving with a handy record in limited appearances, he has since trialled nicely and a return to the big deck is a plus.

FOUR STARZZZ FORSA (8) capitalised from the ace here 2 starts back and once in control had them chasing in an easy victory over the 2138m. Gate 11 undid him last start and he will be stalking here.

LIAM NEIL (9) was a beaten red figure fav last start but there are some excuses to soften the last place return. The pegs look a place to play here, and he can be looking for the gaps to chime in.

SELECTIONS: THREE IN HEAVEN (1), TEDDY FEELS GOOD (5), FOUR STARZZZ FORSA (8), LIAM NEIL (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-5-8-9
