RACE ONE

MASTER CHARLES (2) was shooting for a hat-trick of wins two runs back when gate 6 over the AP mile was his downfall. Not suited last start when asked to sit parked outside MI FURIOSO TORO, he finds conditions to bounce back. UHURA (1) has not been overly inspiring in three runs in Qld, the latest when retreating from gate 7 to settle rearward. Further fitness and the improved gate can be the catalyst for a shaper return. MAFFIOSO GIRL (9) bounced back to winning form at Marburg last start when finding the gaps to launch a closing raid. The confidence helps but she will be relying on some factors from this alley. WESTERN SHOWGIRL (7) has placed at her past two outings, the latest when working home wide off the track at Marburg. The economical trip here is a plus.

SELECTIONS: MASTER CHARLES (2), UHURA (1), MAFFIOSO GIRL (9), WESTERN SHOWGIRL (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MASTER CHARLES (2) to win

RACE TWO

ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (8) was a winner off the second line here three starts back when swooping over the top in the closing stages to take a 4m margin. His latest effort was full of merit and conditions look right for him to add another to the tally. KOOKABURRAPRINCESS (1) returns to the stables of Neil Coy after her latest run in the Trot Rods when the wide gate put her out of play. Holding on for the bronze two runs back over the AP mile, she has the early hustle to capitalise. UNDERTHEKILT (9) was runner-up two starts back when using the passing lane to make a closing raid and finish just a half-neck in arrears. The gate does not help the search for the drought breaker. DUSTY PLAINS (5) has been to the track on three occasions following a spell, the latest when buried away and out of luck at Marburg. The gate stings but he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (8), KOOKABURRAPRINCESS (1), UNDERTHEKILT (9), DUSTY PLAINS (5)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (8) to win

RACE THREE

MY ULTIMATE COBBER (3)
tackled the Redcliffe Derby last start and found them a little too slippery when down the line behind TIMS A TROOPER. Finding some late gaps to grab 2nd to COME SAY HI the start prior, he gets his chance from this alley. MY ULTIMATE BILLY (4) was a beaten fav over the 2138m last start when keen in front and fading over the concluding stages. 3rd two starts back after setting the tempo, this is easier, but he maps for a tougher trip outside the stablemate. SWEET LOMBO (2) was scheduled to go around on Friday night at The Creek from a tough gate and should appreciate this alley where he can fire some early bullets. SAYITISNTSO JOE (5) is a last start Kilmore winner when using the passing lane to arrive for a narrow victory. The wide gate stings his chances first up in Qld.

SELECTIONS: MY ULTIMATE COBBER (3), MY ULTIMATE BILLY (4), SWEET LOMBO (2), SAYITISNTSO JOE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: MY ULTIMATE COBBER (3) to win

RACE FOUR

MISTY CREEK (2)
will need to step up again here as a 3YO, but he has taken each hurdle thrown to him. Sent to the front at Marburg last start, he was able to dictate at the 2200m trip and take an 8m margin. Placed his previous four in succession, he has the gate to repeat. TIZ A SIZZLER (6) returns after over 12-months off the scene, his last appearance in April last year when just 1m from L L COOL J. Not asked for a great deal in a recent stand start trial where he only had to dial it up the closing 600m, he stays under notice and should improve off the run. SPORT MENTAL (4) returns for visiting trainer Col Godden after she put together a handy record, hitting the board in 6 of her 8 here on this deck last season. A softer trip will help her cause. JUST ROKIN (5) is a 16-time winner on this deck and despite the gate can be a player.

SELECTIONS: MISTY CREEK (2), TIZ A SIZZLER (6), SPORT MENTAL (4), JUST ROKIN (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

WILD ABOUT TOWN (2) fired out from gate 1 to take them all the way at Albion Park four runs back, fighting on for a 3m margin. Unsuitable gates hampered him at his next two before fading last time. With early bullets to fire, he can find the positing to capitalise. BEEF CITY STARZZZ (8) was runner-up here two starts back when buried in the run and darting along the passing lane to get within a neck of the winner. Not too far away at Marburg last time, this is within reach. FREMARKSINDI (7) resumes from a spell, turned out after her last appearance when a beaten odds-on fav after circling them from the second line to sit parked. A softer trip here suits. FORTYFIVE ROCK (3) has been kept fresh since his last outing when fading late after securing the pocket trail. Only a neck in arrears three runs back when leading, he can fire off the arm.

SELECTIONS: WILD ABOUT TOWN (2), BEEF CITY STARZZZ (8), FREMARKSINDI (7), FORTYFIVE ROCK (3)
SUGGESTED BET: WILD ABOUT TOWN (2) to win

RACE SIX

DARBY BRIGHTS (1)
did it the tough way last time out when sent around the field in the early stages from the second line to sit parked at Marburg and hold on for a narrow victory. An easier trip looks on offer and she can stalk the speed. FEEL THE THRILL (2) pressed on over the AP mile four runs back and once in control was able to dictate terms before pulling clear to a 14m margin. Game after sitting parked last time out, it followed a luckless run from gate 6 when not beaten far and the early speed is a big plus. DEVOUGED (8) has started from inside the second line at his past two starts, the latest when not seeing the gaps to make a closing play. Pressing through at the start, he is right in the fight. TACTFILLY MIRACLE (4) burrowed through from gate 1 last start to set the speed but was unable to see it out when 4m in deficit. Where she positions here looks tricky.

SELECTIONS: DARBY BRIGHTS (1), FEEL THE THRILL (2), DEVOUGED (8), TACTFILLY MIRACLE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-4-8

RACE SEVEN

AROONA (1)
will be further tightened from his latest outing where he was second up from a spell and working home wide off the track behind the in-form CHASIN DREAMZ. Not far away when resuming, he lands all the options to cash-in. EAGLES RESPONSE (2) settled in the running line from the second line at Marburg last time out and was making a late play when 4m in arrears of the winner. The improved gate after her past two from the second line looks a big plus. NIKALONG HENRY (7) finishing down the line in recent outings, a cosy trip in behind the speed here looks suitable. MAJOR GRANDUER (3) eased from gate 6 before working home wide off the track in nice order. A similar trip the start prior when finding the line nicely, he can be chiming in,

SELECTIONS: AROONA (1), EAGLES RESPONSE (2), NIKALONG HENRY (7), MAJOR GRANDUER (3)
SUGGESTED BET: AROONA (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

SOULWRITER (2) returns to Qld and joins the Jonah Hutchinson stable. Buried in the run last start at Canberra, she has good speed off the arm when used, is a two-time winner and four-time placegetter om this deck from her previous Qld campaigns and finds a suitable assignment first up.
RISKY BUZINESS (9) was asked to do it tough last time out at Marburg but faded after the tough trip. Not suited from the tapes the start prior, he might need to do it the tough way again here but cannot be underestimated in this line up. WRITE TIME (1) started from inside the second line here five starts back when hitting the line in nice order. Turned out after her next trip, a closing shot here after three runs back looks suitable. AURORA ROSE (3) faded out last time out after starting from the second line. Her numbers are not overly inspiring, but she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: SOULWRITER (2), RISKY BUZINESS (9), WRITE TIME (1), AURORA ROSE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: SOULWRITER (2) to win

RACE NINE

REDUCED TO ASHES (3)
has been to the track on seven occasions this season as he chases career win number two. Snagged back from gate 5 last start before closing out in nice order, he has some early hustle and finds an open contest to chase victory. FLASH FREDDIE (1) was a winner four runs back when firing out to find the front and from there was never in danger with 7m to spare on the line. Drawn the second line in all three starts since that win, a return to the front line looks ideal with options available. SARIE MARAIS (7) should enjoy the economical trip from this alley and will be searching for the gaps to make a closing play. Winless in over two years, she can be thereabouts. ORATORIA (5) backs up from Thursday where he was a big 18m winner, but never looked comfortable at any stage in the run. The wide gate stings, but he looks to have the ability to take this.

SELECTIONS: REDUCED TO ASHES (3), FLASH FREDDIE (1), SARIE MARAIS (7), ORATORIA (5)
SUGGESTED BET:
