RACE TWO

SUGARINSPICE (8) made the most of the mobile conditions last start to take control in the early stages and from the front was able to slip home in a smart closing 800m to score by 2m. The runner-up TAM OSHANTER has since franked the form with a win and despite the 20m, she can cash-in again.

JANSSON (6) has worked his way back into some form with placings at his past 2 starts. Pressing forward from the 50m tape last start, he was doing some work in the run before darting back to the passing lane to be just a half-head from the winner. 3rd to ONE NIGHT OUT 2 starts back, he can challenge.

ROSEHILL MAGIC (1) gave plenty of cheek at massive odds here 5 starts back and after some indifferent returns at her next few, was strong to the line last start from the 40m tape. Back to the front, she can bob up here.

MATATOKI (9) was sent forward to sit parked here last time out from the 10m tape and with even panels from the front, just faded the closing stages. He can be chiming in here.

SELECTIONS: SUGARINSPICE (8), JANSSON (6), ROSEHILL MAGIC (1), MATATOKI (9)
SUGGESTED BET: SUGARINSPICE (8) to win

RACE THREE

TRENTLEIGH (3)
was a winner here 2 starts back in recording is first ever win at The Creek. Sent to the front on that occasion from this same gate, he fought them off to claim victory by 3m. Beaten by a wide gate last start, he can find the front here and this looks no harder than his win.

THE RAGNBONE MAN (9) was trying to take them all the way last time out at Redcliffe when gunned down in the stretch by TORQUE IN CONTROL and forced to settle for the silver. Better suited when near the pointy end of the action, he can still press through here to make a challenge.

ITSMEGS (10) was runner-up last start when trying to make a closing raid and finishing 2m in arrears of the winner. Despite the tough gate she can be thereabouts.

BELLAVICTREE (7) has no favours from this alley, but has not been too far away of late including a 3rd to TRENTLEIG 2 back when starting from gate 10. With an even slice of luck, she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: TRENTLEIGH (3), THE RAGNBONE MAN (9), ITSMEGS (10), BELLAVICTREE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: TRENTLEIGH (3) to win

RACE FOUR

DELIGHTFUL REASON (1)
has been beset by a string of tough gates that have not made things any easier for her in recent starts. Eased from gate 6 last start, she was picking off some late metres in the closing stages when 8m from the winner. With the cosy trip, she can hit the target with the snipers shot.

HAPPY PUBLICANS (6) has been in great touch and added another victory last start when holding them wide and then leading throughout to claim a 3m victory in a new career PB. Forced to grind it out the start prior, he may need to roll the sleeves here but is up to the challenge.

RUNFORTHEROSES (3) is a slippery beginner from the mobile and was a winner here 3 starts back wen firing out early to take them all the way. From the gate she can be gripping on.

JAY TEE TYRON (5) could not find position last start and had to grab up and ease to find the running line. Closing out in nice order behind UNCLE SHANK, he can be in the mix here.

SELECTIONS: DELIGHTFUL REASON (1), HAPPY PUBLICANS (6), RUNFORTHEROSES (3), JAY TEE TYRON (5)
SUGGESTED BET: DELIGHTFUL REASON (1) to win

RACE FIVE

NIFTY JOLT (7) is jammed up out in the carpark, but this looks an easier contest than what he has faced in 3 starts since arriving in Qld. A 1st up winner at the mile, he could not work into when wide off the track at his next outing. Beaten by the gate last start when buried as BARIKA controlled from the front, tis is well within reach.

OFFICE BAD BOY (10) was sent forward to sit parked last start and could not cope when fading to finish at the rear. Too strong here 2 starts back when sent forward and fighting on for the prize, he has no favours from this alley but with an even slice of luck can offer a challenge.

ILLBEWATCHING (2) has been runner-up his past 4 in succession here, the latest when just spending too much petrol in finding the front that left the tank empty near the wire. From the alley he can be firing the early shots again.

WOODLANDS WONDER (3) found the front from gate 5 before taking a seat on ILBEWATCHING last time out before than gassing him up the lane for the win. He can be in the action again here.

SELECTIONS: NIFTY JOLT (7), OFFICE BAD BOY (10), ILLBEWATCHING (2), WOODLANDS WONDER (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

GOING FOR GOLD (7)
was 2nd up from a spell last start off the back of a 1st up run where he broke gait soon after the field was released to end any chance. Pressing to the front last start, he was in front deep into the stretch when grabbed in the closing strides by LE TISSIER. Despite the terrible gate, there should be enough tempo and back to the mile he gets his chance.

BARIKA (4) found suitable conditions here last week when sent to the front and once in control was never in danger when pulling clear for a 3m victory. Grabbed in the closing strides the start prior when trying to take them all the way, she can be firing some early bullets here to make a play.

COBBITY CASTLE (8) has been in super form and lines up here off the back of another placing, this time following a 2nd in a mare’s qualifier on Saturday night. A winner in 6 of her previous 7, she will be probing for the openings here.

CALL ME DIVA (1) was wide off the track and charging home here 2 starts back when finishing with the silver behind ITZ CHEROKEE JACK. Buried from inside the 2nd line last start, she can be chiming in from this alley.

SELECTIONS: GOING FOR GOLD (7), BARIKA (4), COBBITY CASTLE (8), CALL ME DIVA (1)
SUGGESTED BET: GOING FOR GOLD (7) to win

RACE SEVEN

OUR FRIEND (6)
was returning from a spell here last week when finding the running line from gate 10 before closing out in nice order to grab the bronze. That return was off the back of an impressive preparatory trial and although landing a sticky gate, can build off the 1st up run to make his play.

DESPONDENT (8) will be further tightened from his latest outing when 2nd up from a spell. Both return runs have been full of merit wen making closing metres from bac in the pack on each occasion. The gate ended his chances behind COBBITY CASTLE last start, and he will be probing for gaps to challenge.

FIREHOUSE (7) has placed in all 3 starts since arriving in Qld, the latest when finding the pegs early before releasing for the trail. Closing out in nice order from this gate 2 start back, the gate hampers his chances in this.

REMEMBER ME NOW (2) should have the speed to be first to the pegs here and if able to sneak away with a quarter, might just give some cheek. Fading late over the 2138m here 2 starts back, he will be gripping on.

SELECTIONS: OUR FRIEND (6), DESPONDENT (8), FIREHOUSE (7), REMEMBER ME NOW (2)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR FRIEND (6) to win

RACE EIGHT

STREET APPEAL (4)
was beaten for speed in the early stages last start but continued to press forward to find the space to drop in for the trail. With a sub 27 opening split to find that position, he was able to finish just 5m from the winner JERADAS DELIGHT. He can take control here and pinching a panel or 2 can see it out.

BLUE MOON RISING (6) sat back in the field here on Saturday night and with some good early heat, was able to make a sweeping move to power home over the top of them. Warming up to that win as the runner-up at his previous 2 starts, look for him attacking the line in the closing stages.

THE DEMOCRAT (1) was beaten by the 2nd line last start as JERADAS DELIGHT took the cash. Placed his previous 2 starts, he can be tucked in behind the action here and ready to make a play.

COURAGEOUS SAINT (2) used plenty to hold them wide here on Saturday night over the 2138m trip and then could not see it out when finishing in 3rd behind BLUE MOON RISING. He can be thereabouts again here.

SELECTIONS: STREET APPEAL (4), BLUE MOON RISING (6), THE DEMOCRAT (1), COURAGEOUS SAINT (2)
SUGGESTED BET: STREET APPEAL (4) to win

RACE NINE

ANOTHER STATEMENT (8)
was a winner here 3 starts back when releasing from gate 1 and then having superior finishing speed up the passing lane. Placed in all 3 starts since that victory, he was game in holding 2nd when parked last time behind KASHED UP. He can arrive again here.

VOUCHERS (1) has faced a tough run of barriers owing to her manners. Back in the draw for her latest offering, the 2nd line did her no favours as UNCLE SHANK had them rolling in front. With good speed out of the machine, she can fire the early bullets and be gripping on in the stretch.

EL AGUILA (2) sat rearward from the 2nd line last time out before winding up over the closing stages as the best of the rest behind the speedster UNCLE SHANK. Settling handy can see him feature.

MOHS EM DOWN (6) is knocking on the door when the conditions are right after finishing as the runner-up at his past 3 on the bounce. Beaten a neck last start, he can be in for the fight again.

SELECTIONS: ANOTHER STATEMENT (8), VOUCHERS (1), EL AGUILA (2), MOHS EM DOWN (6)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-6-8

RACE TEN

TARGARYEN (3)
will strip fitter from his return to the track last start when stepping out for the first time in 9 weeks. Settling rearward from a 2nd line gate, a slick last quarter made it tough for those chasing. A winner last time he drew the front line 4 starts back, he can take advantage of the gate.

ITZ CHEROKEE JACK (7) is undefeated in 2 career starts- 1 in NZ back in June, the other here when making his first Aus appearance. Leading them up 3 wide here over the 2138m, he was green but continued to give in holing on for a tough head margin. With added experience he can challenge.

QUICK STEP (2) was picking off some late metres at Redcliffe last start after easing from gate 5 to secure position. Tucking in behind the action here she can be chiming in.

ASCALBUS (5) was wide off the track last start when trying to make a run with his chances expiring with a gait break. Grinding it out when parked and holding 3rd 2 starts back, he is a podium hope.

SELECTIONS: TARGARYEN (3), ITZ CHEROKEE JACK (7), QUICK STEP (2), ASCALBUS (5)
SUGGESTED BET: TARGARYEN (3) to win
