QRIC Stewards Report
Weather: Showers Track: Sand
Rail: True
Stewards: K Daly (Chairman), P Honeywell
Starter: B Steindel
Clerk of Scales: M Honeywell
Judge/Photo Finish Operator: K Pimm
Veterinarian: Dr K Schroeder
SCO: J Crompton
General: As app S Wilcock was to claim only a portion of her allowance in Races 1, 2 and 4, and unable to claim any allowance in Race 3, Stewards, in consultation with connections of each runner, permitted app Wilcock to fulfil these engagements when no other apprentice rider was available. Further, app Wilcock was replaced as the rider of MAGESTICAL MAIDEN in Race 5 by app N Seymour. In the presence of trainer Mr D Reynolds app Wilcock was fined the sum of $100 under AR143(14)(a). In arriving at this decision Stewards took into account the limited number of riders attending today’s meeting and also personal submissions from trainer Mr D Reynolds representing app Wilcock.
Following steady rain throughout the meeting minor remedial maintenance was carried out on a section of the track near the 350 metres prior to the running of Race 4.
As a result of continuing inclement weather, Stewards in consultation with the club officials, amended the starting times of Races 4 and 5 as follows:
Race 4: 3:30pm

On arrival at the barriers QUATRO AMIGOS was examined by the club Vet and passed fit to start. App M Kennedy was uninjured and cleared to fulfil her engagement.
