Race 4: QTIS 3YO HANDICAP 1300m

Subsequent to the race meeting Stewards inquired into the reason LADY YENDOR (B Pengelly) lost its position near the 800m. After hearing evidence from Jockeys B Pengelly, C Whiteley (MIANU) and F Edwards (CHEESE BURGER) and viewing the available patrol footage it was established that MIANU which raced ungenerously for some distance in the middle stages, despite the efforts of Jockey C Whiteley, shifted in and away from CHEESE BURGER which was racing to its outside at that point placing LADY YENDOR in restricted room resulting in that filly making contact with the running rail and losing momentum.  As Stewards were satisfied that the incident was attributable to the racing manners of MIANU, no further action was taken other than to advise trainer G Dickson that a warning would be placed on the racing manners of MIANU.
