Race 1: JAYSEL CLASS B Handicap 1200m
 
TOTAL DISTAIN- Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout.
 
MORE THAN GOOD- Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout.
 
MONTE SANTO- Raced in restricted room from the 500m-400m. Jockey S Sheargold was reprimanded under the provisions of AR132(5) in that he did use his whip in an excessive manner (15 times) throughout the event.
 
COMBATTANT DE RUE- Shifted in under pressure passing the 100m.
 
METRO MISSILE- Inclined to lay out under pressure down the running. Raced wide throughout.
 
FLASH FOX- Raced wide throughout.
 
NUCLEAR BOOM- Performed below market expectations. Jockey T Bannon stated that, in her opinion, the mare may not have handled the additional weight carried in today event compared to its recent starts. Trainer N Seymour concurred and added that the mare may not have handled the track. Stewards noted the explanations.
 
 
 
 
Race 2: CANNINDAH RESOURCES MAIDEN PLATE 1000m
 
 
GOTTA BE BETTER- Slow into stride.
 
NALSSENDORI- Commenced to race ungenerously from the 600m-300m. Jockey F Edwards advised that, in his opinion, his mount resented the heavy kick back during that section of the event.
 
ALPHA BLUE- Shifted wider passing the 400m in an effort to improve. Inclined to race ungenerously under pressure down the running.
 
MURTALLICA- On returning to scale Jockey T Bannon advised she dropped her whip at the 50m.
 
RAW INSTINCT- Raced wide throughout.
 
PERFECTLY POSH- Raced wide throughout.
 
BATTLE MOUNTAIN- Raced wide throughout.
 
Declaration of correct weight was delayed to allow Jockey T Bannon, rider of 2nd place getter MURTALLICA, to view the photo finish. After viewing the official photo Jockey Bannon was satisfied and correct weight was declared on the judges semaphored numbers.
 
 
 
 
Race 3: COUNTRY STAMPEDE QUALIFIER ALLINGHAM FAMILY/ SIR RUPERT CLARKE MEMORIAL OPEN BRACELET HANDICAP 1000m
 
CATMOSPHERE- As the gelding had raced on the 25th of September 2020 underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start. Shifted in abruptly on entering the home straight before being corrected by its rider.
 
HAYYLARS TARRY- Began awkwardly. Raced in restricted room leaving the 700m.
 
DISTRICT- Slow to begin.
 
JACK LANCASTER- Bumped with another runner passing the 700m. Commenced to race ungenerously from that point. Performed below market expectations. Jockey S Wilson advised that, in his opinion, the gelding did not appreciate todays racing surface or the tight track. Trainers Representative R Ryan concurred with Jockey Wilson assessment. Stewards noted the explanations. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
MOLONGLE MAGIC- Obliged to momentarily steady and shift out around the heels of another runner which shifted in on entering the home straight.
 
POLAR BLAST- Over-raced in the middle stages.
 
LE DRAMA- Raced wide the majority.
 
RAIDEN- Raced wide the majority.
 
EXCEEDING ASSASIN- Jockey F Edwards was reprimanded under the provisions of AR132(5) in that he did use his whip in an excessive manner (16 times) throughout the event.
 
 
 
 
Race 4: GEORGE & LORRAINE COLBRAN QTIS RATINGS BAND 0-65 HANDICAP 1300m
 
SFILZA- As the mare had raced on the 25th of September 2020 underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start.
 
HAND OF FAITH- Became fractious in the race day tie ups and was subsequently declared a late scratching at 3:05pm on Veterinary advice. Trainer A Ryan was advised a Veterinary certificate of fitness would be required prior to the gelding again being permitted to start in a race.
 
RISING BOOM- Obliged to steady off heels when held up for clear running passing the 300m.
 
MISS DEFIANCE- Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout.
 
 
 
 
Race 5: COUNTRY CUPS CHALLENGE QUALIFIER/NUTRIEN AG SOLUTIONS EWAN CUP BENCHMARK 69 HANDICAP
 
HIT SNOOZE- Slow to begin and tightened between runners on jumping away. Commenced to race ungenerously for a short distance from the 1400m when being restrained in an effort to settle with cover.
 
BREAK MY STRIDE- Shifted out under pressure down the running approaching the 200m.
 
SIZZLING SUN- Raced wide early.
 
FLUIDITY- Jockey P Romeo was reprimanded under the provisions of AR132(5) in that he did use his whip in an excessive manner (16 times) throughout the event.
 
 
Declaration of correct weight was delayed to allow Jockey P Romeo, rider of 2nd place getter FLUIDITY, to view the photo finish. After viewing the official photo Jockey Romeo was satisfied and correct weight was declared on the judges semaphored numbers.
