Race 1: CHANNEL SEVEN QTIS 2YO H'CAP – 1100M
 
ASTRAL KNIGHT – Steadied off the heels of another runner which shifted out shortly after the start.
 
YARRA SPIRIT – Shifted out shortly after jumping, inconveniencing another runner.
 
CRAIGLEA LIZZY – Restrained approaching the 600m when inconvenienced by a runner which was racing greenly.
 
VAMPARINA – Began awkwardly. Raced wide in the early and middle stages. Shifted in approaching the 600m when racing greenly, inconveniencing another runner.
 
Race 2: LASER CLINICS AUSTRALIA QTIS 2YO & 3YO MAIDEN HANDICAP – 1300M
 
ABSOLUT ARTIE – Raced tight between runners for a short distance soon after the start.
 
IDLE JACK – Underwent a veterinary inspection prior to the start and was cleared to race. Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
HEZAGIGOLO – Raced greenly and wide for the majority of the event. Shifted out abruptly approaching the winning post, bumping another runner.
 
BOLD ENCHANTMENT – Lost ground after beginning awkwardly. Restrained off heels after being bumped by another runner approaching the 150m. Became unbalanced approaching the winning post when bumped by another runner.
 
STARRY BEAUTY – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
Race 3: MM ELECTRICAL DERBY DAY SATURDAY 21ST SEPTEMBER MAIDEN HANDICAP – 1050M
 
TA CHANSON – Laid in passing the 250m, bumping another runner. Shifted out under pressure near the 100m.
 
ACT OF BRAVERY – Had to be restrained after improving on to heels near the 500m.
 
POSTER MAN – Slow into stride.
 
TERMINATE – Became unbalanced after being bumped by another runner passing the 250m. On returning to scale jockey L. Tilley reported to stewards that the horse had begun making a respiratory noise prior to compounding over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer J. Manzelmann advised that he felt the gelding may have got its tongue over the bit in running.
 
JACK ON THE ROCKS – Raced wide in the early stages. Raced in restricted room for a short distance near the 300m.
 
SHEZROYAL – Slow into stride.
 
ICE WARRIOR – Raced wide throughout.
 
Race 4: MAN ABOUT MENSWEAR BENCHMARK 69 H'CAP – 1560M
 
SENSATION ALLY – Penalised 1.5kg after winning at Clermont on 27 July 2019, taking its allotted weight up to 56.5kg.
 
GOLDEN MANE – Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
 
CASTA – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
DARTS AWAY – Lost ground when tightened for room between runners soon after jumping. B. Pengelly was cautioned in relation to his use of the whip prior to the 100m.
 
EFFECTAV – Had to be straightened after passing the 200m when laying in.
 
MY SHU MAI – Lost ground when tightened for room between runners soon after jumping. Shifted wider passing the 800m and raced wide from that point.
 
Race 5: TAB OPEN H'CAP – 1050M
 
TAMBO’S HEART – Steadied off heels when the pace slackened near the 650m.
 
MASON’S CHANCE – Overraced in the middle stages. Shifted wider to improve near the 700m, racing wide from that point. Jockey J. Stanley was reminded of his responsibility to ride his mounts out to the end of the race.
 
STELLAR KNIGHT – Slow to begin.
 
GOLD CUFFLINKS – Slow to begin.
 
IWATANI – Slow to begin. Shifted wider to improve near the 700m, racing wide from that point.
 
EL SHADAY – When questioned regarding what on face value appeared to be an improved performance, trainer Mr A. Cameron stated that the horse had had a setback earlier in the year, having to be spelled. He was then limited as to the amount of work he was able to give the horse immediately following its return to racing due to recurring injury. Following further veterinary treatment the gelding had pleased him in its work, winning a long jump-out in preparation for today’s event, and based on that effort Mr Cameron was not overly surprised by today’s performance. Whilst stewards noted Mr Cameron’s explanation, he was nonetheless advised that they would expect consistent performances from the gelding going forward.
 
LAMERICAN – Slow to begin. Tired noticeably over the concluding stages.
 
Race 6: SMARTSTATE VEHICLE RENTALS BENCHMARK 55 H'CAP – 1050M
 
OAKFIELD COSTA – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
MISS ESTER – Compounded over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to be lame in the off foreleg. Trainer A. Pateman was advised that the horse will require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again.
 
EVIL EYE MAC – Steadied off heels near the 700m, shifted wider soon after, racing wide from that point. Hung out rounding the home turn.
 
TELL EVERYBODY – Slow to begin. Shifted wider to improve passing the 600m, racing wide from that point.
 
EGYPTIANBEAR – Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
 
FAY ELEMENT – Slow to begin. The mare, which was resuming following a prolonged absence from racing, tired noticeably over the concluding stages.
 
Race 7: URBAN KITCHEN BENCHMARK 60 H'CAP – 1300M
 
NOW ASK ME – Slow to begin.
 
CLIFTON COUNTY – Shifted wider to improve passing the 600m. Tired noticeably in the home straight.
 
HUTCHO – Held up for clear running soon after straightening and as a result shifted in, inconveniencing another runner. Rider D. Simmons was reprimanded. On return to scale jockey D. Simmons reported to stewards that his left his foot had made contact with the barrier partition on jumping placing him at some discomfort.
GRAND DE LAGO – Raced wide throughout.
 
GLOBAL ROCKET – Had to be steadied near the 300m to avoid another runner, which shifted in.
 
NASTY GAL – Trainer L. Wanless was fined $100 for the late declaration of S. Sheargold as the rider of the horse.
 
PROFOUND CHOICE – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
POETIC SHOW – Slow to begin.
