SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT:

Race 1: WESTLINK PETROLEIUM/ SAMIOS TRADING POST/ FRED BALLINGALL MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1000M.
ITS WANTED - hung in during the final stages of this event.
CLASSIC WIND- began awkwardly and subsequently lost ground.
LAST ROUND - travelled wide without cover during the early and middle stages of the event, and tended to hang in over the final stages.
Race 2: GRAHAM AND IAN SHEPPARD MEMORIAL RATING BAND 0-50 HANDICAP 1000M.
No Racing Incidents.
The rider of INVINCIBLE KING Ms B. Richardson was reprimanded by Stewards under AR 208 (2) for failing to weigh in for 5th placing.
Race 3: SDT & SULLIVAN TRANSPORT QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1200M
SO STUNNING - reared just prior to the gates opening and missed the start and lost substantial ground.
DREAM DANZA - on returning to scale Jockey D. Rewald reported to Stewards the horse felt lame during the running of the race. A post- race veterinary examination was performed and subsequently revealed the horse was lame in the right foreleg. Trainer Ms C. Baker was advised a Vet certificate would be required before the horse races again. Ms Baker advised Stewards that she is going to consider the horse’s future in coming days.
Race 4: MORGAN PASTORAL/ DOUG UTTING MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1400M.
Stewards were contacted by the Trainer of KULABA Mr P. Richardson that his vehicle had broken down and his horse would not be running at the program today. Stewards declared KULABA a late scratching at 1.55pm.
GOLDEN LIGHT - was slow to begin.
BRING ME LUCK - was slow to begin.
Jockey’s McGovern and Richardson reported to Stewards that the allocated barrier gates were slow to open. Correct weight was delayed to allow Stewards to view the available video footage of the start. Evidence was taken from the riders McGovern and Richardson and Trainers B. Waldron and C. Austin. Stewards acting under AR 204 (1) (c) decided that the barriers had not opened with the other runners and therefore, GOLDEN LIGHT and BRING ME LUCK were declared non-runners as in the opinion of Stewards both the horses were denied a fair start. Correct weight was then declared with the following deductions being applied:
1st- 18c- 21 c place.
2nd- 25c.
3rd- 22c.
It was the opinion of Stewards that Barriers 4 and 6 were unreliable and would not be used for the remainder of the program.
Race 5: CURLEY CATTLE TRANSPORT MORVEN CUP OPEN HANDICAP 1400M.
No racing Incidents.
Race 6: MORVEN RACE CLUB SUPPORTERS BENCHMARK 55 handicap 1800M.
CRAWFISH- was slow to begin.
NAMIB- travelled wide without cover during the middle stages of this event.
HUSSONS SHOUT- travelled wide without cover over the final stages of the event.
LORD RUSSEL- began fairly but failed to go the early speed was tailed off early.
