GENERAL:
Stewards accepted the explanation tendered for the late declaration of riders for Race 4,  Golden Charles – J. Felix and Race 5, The Groom – R. Shred.

Race 1: STEPHEN WILSON RACING & HORNER RACING CLASS B                            HANDICAP – 900 Metres
 
GAME OF CIRCLES – Delayed the start after becoming fractious in the barriers and being declared a late scratching at 1.05pm by order of stewards acting on veterinary advice. On the announcement of correct weight all monies invested on GAME OF CIRCLES was ordered to be refunded with deductions of 9 cents in the dollar on the face value of win bets and 10 cents in the dollar on the face value of all place bets to be applicable. Trainer K. Russell was advised the gelding must obtain a further barrier certificate prior to its next race start. In this incident, rider S. Sheargold injured his left knee and had some discomfort to his right knee and was stood down for the remainder of meeting by the Qld Ambulance Medical officers. S. Sheargold was advised he must provide a medical clearance prior to his next race riding engagement. Riding replacements were made as per steward’s summary.   
 
MCKENZIE WILL DO – Slow to begin.
 
GREY TOP – Slow to begin.
    
MISS CLAIR – Slow to begin.
 
FILLY SLATER – Hung out rounding the home turn inconveniencing SCARAMOUCHE and BE FAMOUS forcing both of those runners wider. Connections were advised the mare must trial to the satisfaction of stewards before being permitted to race again.
 
SCARAMOUCHE – Inconvenienced and forced wider rounding the home turn.      
     
BE FAMOUS – Inconvenienced and forced wider rounding the home turn. Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the race.
 
Race 2: LEANNE ASHFORD RACING MAIDEN PLATE– 1123 Metres  
 
ASHANI STORM – Began awkwardly. Finished tailed off. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.     
    
MIDNIGHT RAIDER – Laid out in the middle stages.
   
Race 3: JENNY BALL RACING OPEN PLATE– 1123 Metres   
 
ROCK SPUR – Slow to begin.  
   
SPEED EIGHT – Slow to begin.    
 
Race 4: ALLAN HOLMES RACING QTIS CLASS 1 HANDICAP– 1210 Metres
 
SUNNY COWBOY – Stewards accepted the explanation tendered for the late scratching of the gelding at 9.00am.  
 
GOODBYE EARL – Stewards accepted the explanation tendered for the late declaration of S. Gittos as the rider of the gelding. Slow to begin. Apprentice S. Gittos was reprimanded under the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(i) in that he used his whip in a consecutive manner prior to the 100m.      
    
EUCHARIST – Slow to begin.    
    
LET'S CONQUER – Slow to begin.
 
FOX STREET – Steadied shortly after the start when racing in restricted room.     
   
AMELIA'S RAINBOW – Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the race.    
 
Race 5: KBAM RACING BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP– 1500 M ETRES
 
TRUSTABLE – Declared a late scratching at 12.04pm by order of stewards due to a floating mishap. Trainer L. Donovan was advised she must provide a veterinary certificate of clearance prior to the mare being permitted to race again.
 
METRO MISSILE – Slow to begin.
 
ANARCHY – Slow to begin.
 
AT DUSK – Bounded in the air as the start was effected and lost ground.
 
THE GROOM – Over-raced in the early and middle stages.
