Race 1: ANZAC COVE BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP – 1450 Metres
 
ROCK TSAR – Slow to begin.  
 
RAPTOR – Bumped on jumping.
 
ECHELON ROSE – Slow to begin. Raced wide in the early stages.  
 
MYOLA MILLY – Jumped inwards at the start bumping RAPTOR. Raced ungenerously in the early stages and lost ground. Rider dropped his whip leaving the 200 metres.
 
Race 2: CHUNUK BAIR CLASS B HANDICAP – 1000 Metres
 
A'RICHBRUNETTE – A pre-race veterinary examination of the mare which was returning to racing after a long spell cleared it start. Raced wide for the majority of the race. Lost its off fore plate in running.  

MISS POWDER KEG (NZ) – Began awkwardly and lost considerable ground.
 
SCARPA – Wide in the early stages before improving forward to race outside the leader leaving the 800 metres.
 
Race 3: QUINN'S POST CLASS 4 PLATE – 1000 Metres
 
BLAINE –Was declared a late scratching at 12.15pm due to no suitable rider
being available.  
 
KOBY'S STRATEGY – As no other suitable rider was available, R. McMahon was permitted to ride the gelding 1kg over its allotted weight. This was broadcast over the course pa system.

GENERAL ARTIE – Fractious in the barriers prior to the start.

MACKELLAR'S VOICE – Raced wide for the majority of race.
 
Race 4:LONE PINE OPEN HANDICAP – 1000 Metres
 
WORLD OF PAIN – Was declared a late scratching at 12.15pm due to no suitable
rider being available.   
 
WICKED WIKI – Blundered on jumping.

MISSED OUT – As no other suitable rider was available, D. Ballard was permitted to ride the gelding 3kg over its allotted weight. This was broadcast over the course pa system. Raced wide for the majority of the race.  
 
MR TINDALL – Raced wide for the majority of race.  
 
Race 5: LIGHT HORSE CHARGE AT THE NEK BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP – 1200 Metres
 
LORD WINDERMERE – Stewards accepted the late declaration of J. Esser as the rider of the gelding.
 
COME ALIVE – Blundered badly on jumping and lost ground. Raced wide for majority of the race.  

DIXIE ROUGE – Raced wide for majority of the race.  
 
FIRE RANGER – Raced wide for majority of the race.
