Race 1: Happy Easter From The TTC QTIS 2yo H’cap – 1200m
 
MARVELLOUS HEART – Slowly away. Unable to muster early pace.
 
ROYAL RUSKI – Shifted in on jumping, inconveniencing another runner. Bumped by another runner soon after the start.
 
CLEVER HUNTER – Inconvenienced on jumping. Unable to muster early pace.
 
HIGHER REALM – Shifted in soon after jumping. Raced ungenerously for a short distance passing the 1000m.
 
ENDORSE – Raced ungenerously for a short distance passing the 1000m.
 
CLEAVER GREEN – Raced wide without cover in the early and middle stages. Raced greenly in the home straight. Shifted in near the 250m, bumping another runner.
 
TENNESSEE BOY – Became unbalanced when bumped by another runner near the 250m.
 
Race 2: Pickerings Auto Group Maiden H’cap – 1200m
 
SMOKIN’ TOMMY – Proved difficult to load. Trainer T. Rowe was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s barrier manners.
 
BOUGATSA – Slowly away.
 
ALPHA BLUE – Slowly away. Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
 
MISTA LONGHORN – Slowly into stride.
 
LIPS – Slowly into stride. Trailed the field throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities nonetheless Trainer L. McCormack was advised the mare would be required to perform to a satisfactory standard in a trial prior to again being permitted to start in a race.
 
BENVENUTI – Shifted out on jumping. Shifted out abruptly near the 350m to obtain clear running, slightly inconveniencing another runner. Apprentice E. Cass was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
 
GETOUT OF MY NEIGH – Raced wide in the early and middle stages. Slightly inconvenienced near the 350m by another runner, which shifted out abruptly.
 
QUEZMAR – Raced wide in the early and middle stages. Tired noticeably over the concluding stages, shifting ground under pressure.
 
DEADLY DAY – Over-raced in the middle stages.
 
NOIR JACK – Shifted in abruptly to avoid the heels of a tiring runner near the 200m.
 
Race 3: Otto’s Market Ratings Band 0-65 H’cap – 1609m
 
CASH RAIDER – Began awkwardly.  Had to be restrained near the 1400m when placed in restricted room and shifted in abruptly, making heavy contact with the running rail.
 
DORDOGNE – Laid in near the 1400m placing a runner to its inside in restricted room.
 
DON’T CHEAT CHARLIE – Slowly away.
 
SUPER MARIO – Shifted in on jumping, hampering runners to its inside. Had to be restrained when crowded between runners near the 1300m. Jockey S. Wilson was reminded of his obligation under AR131(b) to ride his mount out to the end of the race.
 
RED PHANTOM – Slowly away. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
TRIUMPH STAR – Hampered on jumping away. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
CACTOBLASTIS – Slowly away after being hampered on jumping. Raced wide for the majority of the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
DOSSIER – Restrained after improving on to heels near the 1300m.
 
AHMAH STAR – Restrained around heels near the 1300m placing a runner to its outside in restricted room. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
Following the running of this race the track rating was upgraded to Good 4.
 
Race 4: Laser Clinics Townsville Benchmark 55 H’cap – 1000m
 
CORTESTA – Stewards accepted trainer J. Ryan’s explanation for the late declaration of Jockey  R. Payne as the rider of the horse. Checked leaving the 800m.
 
BLAZON TALES – Slowly into stride.
 
RIVER BOY – Slowly into stride.
 
FLAMIN’ SID – Slowly away. Checked leaving the 800m.
 
DISTRACTED – Slowly away.
 
MISS FLAWLESS – Slowly into stride.
 
CHEEKY REWARD – Inconvenienced near the 900m. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
VEHEMENT – Shifted in near the 900m, inconveniencing another runner. Jockey F. Edwards pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding in that leaving the 800m he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of ALL ZED AND DONE (S. Wilson) which was taken in onto the running of CORTESTA (R. Payne) with both of those horses losing their rightful running. FLAMIN’ SID which was following was also checked in this incident which Stewards considered to be in the mid-range. Jockey Edwards’ licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 11 days to commence on Friday April 17th 2020 up to and including Monday April 27th 2020. In determining penalty Stewards took into account Jockey Edwards’ forthright evidence during the inquiry and his guilty plea.  
 
ALL ZED AND DONE – Checked leaving the 800m.
 
KISS ME LATER – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
ALLEVIATOR – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
Race 5: Success North Queensland Benchmark 55 H’cap – 1000m
 
AGUIAS – Slowly away. Tightened between runners on jumping.
 
INVINCIBLE TAMMY – Tightened between runners at the start. Laid in for some distance soon after straightening.
 
FORGOTTEN FEELING – Jumped outwards at the start, tightening runners to its outside.
 
FOXY FELINE – Shifted in on jumping tightening runners to its inside. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
AT DUSK – Slowly away. On return to scale jockey G. Watson advised he had become indisposed and was stood down from his remaining engagements. Jockey Watson was advised a medical clearance would be required prior to his next race ride. Riding changes were made as per the Stewards Summary Sheet.
 
MASTER AGAR – Slowly away. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
WRITTEN IMAGE – Steadied off heels soon after straightening.
 
CHIC SOX – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
SWEET JUNE – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
DANCING DIVA - Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
Race 6: Star 106.3 Open H’cap – 1400m
 
FRENCH JET – The tongue-tie, which became loose when proceeding to the start, was unable to be refitted and the gelding raced without that piece of gear.
 
HOT SAGA – Proved difficult to load. Slowly into stride after being inconvenienced on jumping. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
MISTA MAYBE – Jockey S. Wilson replaced jockey G. Watson as the rider of the gelding. Shifted out on jumping, inconveniencing a runner to its outside.
 
 
Race 7: #Stayathome Open H’cap – 1000m
 
FUNKY MUSIC – Jockey M. Gray replaced jockey G. Watson as the rider of the gelding.
 
BEAU JET – Slowly away. Hung out rounding the home turn inconveniencing a runner to its outside. Jockey C. Whiteley was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a poor post-race recovery.
 
OUR ALICIA’S LANE – Slowly away after beginning awkwardly. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
EASY WEEKEND – Jockey P. Cullen advised the gelding became short in its action near the 400m.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off foreleg.  Trainer Mr B. Williams was advised that a veterinary clearance would be required prior to its next race start.
 
OUR RECEIPE – Inconvenienced when buffeted between runners when racing in restricted room rounding the home turn.
 
LUSHAN – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
MERCURY BULLET - Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
BON TEMPS - Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
EXCEEDINGLY KOOL - Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
IMANUI - Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
Race 8: St Floral Class 6 Plate – 1200m
 
FULL RECOGNITION – Jockey C. Whiteley reported the gelding had over-raced, refusing to settle, for a considerable distance in the middle stages. Shifted ground wider near the 550m in order to improve.
 
BACHELOR’S ART – Shifted in near the 600m tightening runners to its inside. Jockey P. Cullen was severely reprimanded for careless riding under the provisions of AR131(a). Shifted in abruptly across heels near the 300m to obtain clear running.
 
RULER – Hampered near the 600m by another runner which shifted in. Stewards questioned Jockey F. Edwards in relation to his riding of the gelding approaching the winning post. After viewing both the lateral and head-on patrol footage and giving consideration to Jockey Edwards’ submission Stewards were of the opinion that there was insufficient tangible evidence that Jockey Edwards had not ridden RULER out to the finish of the race and took no further action other than to remind him of his obligation under AR131(b).
 
SAVVY HUSSLER - Hampered near the 600m by another runner which shifted in.
 
PURE REBEL – Shifted out rounding the home turn bumping with another runner.
 
PURRHAPS – Raced wide for the majority. Was bumped by another runner rounding the home turn.
 
NARDA SHAR – Raced wide for the majority.
 
Race 9: Coca Cola Amatil Benchmark 58 H’cap – 1300m
 
SPEED EIGHT – Slowly away.
 
GOOD CATCH – Began awkwardly. Buffeted between runners soon after the start.
 
MOSEF – Began awkwardly. Buffeted between runners soon after the start.
 
VALUATE – Shifted in on jumping bumping with another runner.
 
CHEVAUX – Bumped by another runner on jumping.
 
BANK TELLER – Began awkwardly.
 
DIAMOND COUNTRY - Jockey N. Yadi replaced jockey G. Watson as the rider of the mare. Had to be restrained off heels near the 1000m.
 
CANDY GIRL - Had to be restrained off heels near the 1000m.
 
EVIL EYE MAC – Over-raced in the middle stages. Raced wide for the majority.
 
GIVEN TIME – Bumped with another runner on several occasions in the home straight when attempting to secure the same run.
 
SHUNTER - Bumped with another runner on several occasions in the home straight when attempting to secure the same run.
 
DAMKY – Raced wide for the majority.
 
SWEET TASTE – Raced wide for the majority.
 
BERNIE’S REGRET – Was eased out of the race near the 200m. Jockey S. Wilson reported the horse was making loud respiratory noises. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities, however, Trainer M. Geaney was advised a Veterinary clearance including a clear airway scope, and a satisfactory trial would be required prior to the gelding again being permitted to start in a race.
