Race 1: SAMIOS PLUMBING SUPPLIES CLASS B HANDICAP 1465m
WYETH – After being fractious in the barriers, reared and injuring its rider, WYETH was declared a late scratching at 12:56pm. As this race meeting was a patron free non wagering event there were no deductions. Trainer N. King was advised that a warning would be placed on the mare’s barrier manners. After the event QAS assessed Apprentice T Wheeler and cleared him to fulfil the rest of his engagements.
SUPALUX – Began awkwardly, raced wide from the 600m
RELIABLE LASS – Tightened between runners on jumping away, hung out rounding the turn at the 1200m
BOLTIN’ DESIRE – Laid in under pressure over the final 150m
SOUTH SANTO – Hung out rounding the turn at the 1200m when bumped by RELIABLE LASS, raced wide throughout, obliged to alter coarse when momentarily inconvenienced by another runner.
Race 2: THE ROY & GLENIS RADUNZ WONDAI CUP OPEN HANDICAP 1465m
PALACE TYCOON – Slow to begin, raced 3 wide for the entire event. Jockey H Phillips was reprimanded for use of the whip on six occasions prior to the 100m, one more than permitted.
Race 3: THE MONICA RYAN TROPHY QTIS CLASS 3 PLATE 1100m
DIGGITY – Passing the 700m was steadied from the heels of EL NINO’S CHOICE which shifted out
EL NINO’S CHOICE – Jockey R. Faehr was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground.
HAVASHOUT – Raced greenly in the early stages, near the 600m was placed in restricted room when SENKO SIDRA shifted in. Raced wide throughout.
KENTFORD – Raced wide throughout.
EMOTIVE MOUNTAIN – Slow to begin.
ELUSIVE ELEMENT – Near the 600m raced in restricted room, raced wide throughout.
SENKO SIDRA - Near 600m shifted in momentarily and inconvenienced HAVASHOUT. H POLAND was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
OAKFIELD GETTEM - Rider reported the mare didn’t handle today’s track conditions.
Race 4: G. CRUMPTON & SONS MAIDEN PLATE 850m
HOLYFOX – Slow to begin and raced wide for the entire.
MISS PIXIE – Began awkwardly and raced wide for the entire.
OAKFIELD COMANCHE – Blundered badly on jumping away, raced ungenerous middle and late stages. Trainer K. Hamilton was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing manners considering today’s performance.
EIGHT LETTERS – Near the 400m had to be steadied when Oakfield Comanche shifted in.
Race 5: MURGON TYRES & MORE / MURGON OUTDOOR EQUIPMENT CLASS B HANDICAP 850m
MUNGARA – Blundered badly on jumping away dislodging its rider.
MR FUJI – Began awkwardly.
MISS MAGNOLIA – Near the 500m was inconvenienced and taken wider by the riderless MUNGARA.
CLAIRVUE SPIRIT – Near the 500m was inconvenienced and taken wider by the riderless MUNGARA.
