Stood flat-footed as the start was effected and lost significant ground. Trainer M Webb indicated that he would give the gelding a short spell and look at removing the blinkers prior to its next start. Mr Webb was advised that the gelding would require a further barrier certificate before starting again.

When questioned Trainer K Schweida expressed some disappointment in the performance of the gelding today. For future starts he may step the gelding up to a distance further than today’s event and if possible would instruct the riders to try and lead on the gelding. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
