Slow to begin. After racing in a rearward position in the early and middle stages commenced to overrace passing the 1200m and was unable to be restrained in that position. The rider then elected near the 900m to shift wider on the track and improve eventually taking up a position in the lead passing the 800m.

After racing in a rearward position commenced to lose ground passing the 600m and finished a distant last. Rider explanation re performance - stated gelding travelled reasonably until a point passing the 800m when the tempo quickened and from that point on floundered in the going, failed to respond to his riding and proved disappointing. Vetted - no significant findings.
