Raced wide without cover throughout. Passing the 300m, commenced to weaken and as a result, rider J Huxtable elected to ease the gelding down as he was of the opinion that something was amiss with his mount. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer S Parsons was advised that TORTUGA’s nominations would be refused from TAB venues until its form improves in the NON-TAB venues.

After racing In a forward position for the majority of the event, commenced to weaken from the 200m and approaching the winning post was eased down by its rider C Taylor as he was of the opinion that something was amiss with his mount. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer B Butts was advised that JOJO GO would be required to officially barrier trial prior to its next start.
