Was ridden forward to assume the lead after being wide in the early stages. Jockey S. Cormack was asked to explain his tactics in leading today, which is in contrast to the horse’s established racing pattern. He indicated that he had been instructed to ride in a midfield position, however when caught wide in the early stages it became apparent he would not be able to obtain a position closer to the fence midfield and therefore elected to allow the horse to stride forward to the lead passing the 900m.
