BURWOOD STUD 2YO MAIDEN PACE 1660m
Race detailsThe first 2YO race of the season in Qld where any early market moves should be watched. SCAR STRUCK (3) is from the Gemma Hewitt barn and is the first Australian starter for the sire Dancin Lou. With a nice trial performance in readiness, he will be right in the mix.
PARISIAN HUSTLER (7) is a Huntsville gelding, and one of two Shane Graham trained runners. Impressing in a recent trial, he was still green and allowed plenty of space on the track to stay comfortable. He may not be the complete package just yet and will be relying on ability- which he looks to have.
HEAD RUSH (6) is a Tintin In America colt prepared by Steve Borg and is the first foal out of the 1.54.1 mare Matau Jess. It has paced cleanly in trials but is not helped by the gate.
PRETTY WICKED (5) is another Shane Graham trained runner. By Mcwicked, it has been well educated and was not asked for much in a trial behind PARISIAN HUSTLER.SELECTIONS: SCAR STRUCK (3), PARISIAN HUSTLER (7), HEAD RUSH (6), PRETTY WICKED (5)

PRYDE'S EASIFEED THREE TROTTERS UP TO NR55 MOBILE 2138m
Race detailsBuilding towards a victory after some eye-catching runs, FLASH KYVALLEY (3) was able to deliver last start when charging home to grab a narrow margin. That was from the tapes and with a strong record from behind the start car, he can be close enough to capitalise.
GRACIAS (5) rolled forward and was left to do some work leading up the one-wide line last time out. Just peaking late to miss the top three, it followed successive placings, including the bronze behind PIZZA PRINCE after making a run from back in the pack. He can challenge.
CROOKWELL EYES (1) found the perfect trip behind the speed here last week. With the leader going off stride at the 300, he was just left in front too far from home and was reeled in late. The soft trip will suit.
PIZZA PRINCE (8) was first up since September here on Feb 10 when showing early hustle, taking cover and then finishing best to take a 9m margin. Second line options assist his claims.

Race detailsAs the lone runner off the second line, BAIL DENIED (8) will be able to get off the fence early if need be. Probing for the gaps last start when 4m astern of CAPTIANS PICK, the start prior did not suit at Redcliffe when easing early and chasing against tempo. This looks within reach.

OUTKAST NATIONAL DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION PACERS BAND HANDICAP 2138m
Race detailsTARGARYEN (4) struck trouble last start and was then sent to sit parked which is not his jam, fading late and finishing at the rear behind DASHING. Chasing for the silver behind CHEERSTOLOU the start prior, a clean trip can see him bounce back with the W.
FRANKIE FEROCIOUS (7) returning from a spell after a last start 2nd in FFA company. Darting through the passing lane on that occasion, he was only a lip short of victory. Two from four off the tapes, the 30m makes it a large task fresh up, a challenge he can meet.
ARKIN WICKED (1) held the pocket trail last start under these same conditions but could not go with them when at the rear behind SEND IT. With the soft trip, he has minor claims.
AMAMI (5) is on the back-up from Saturday night when midfield behind WHOS DELIGHT. 7m astern of DASHING last week at these conditions, he will be thereabouts.SELECTIONS: TARGARYEN (4), FRANKIE FEROCIOUS (7), ARKIN WICKED (1), AMAMI (5)

NUTRIEN EQUINE PACE 1660m
Race detailsA tricky race to pull apart where it might just be the day for FAVREAU (4) to cash in. Sitting parked last time out, he was digging deep in the stretch and went within a half-head of victory, looming strongly before MAN OF ACTION arrived. He can get forward to stake claim.
THE REAL ROCKETMAN (9) made the most of finding the front at Marburg two starts back and setting the tempo held on for the prize. Luckless last start when searching for the gaps, he can trail through and with the right tempo look to issue a closing challenge.
VODKA EN ICE (5) tried to make the most of the inside gate here two starts back and led form home, only to be collared late in taking the silver. Under 3m from the winner last time, he is in the mix.
AUNTY FRANCES (6) was 2m astern of MAN OF ACTION last time out when starting from gate 7 and making a late raid. Another wide gate dents her winning hopes.SELECTIONS: FAVREAU (4), THE REAL ROCKETMAN (9), VODKA EN ICE (5), AUNTY FRANCES (6)

GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND PACE 1660m
Race detailsWorking his way back into some form, MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (1) secures the ideal gate to repeat his last start Redcliffe victory. Dictating from gate 1over the 2040 in that contest, he was game after working from gate 7 here three starts back and can capitalise in this line up.
IDEAL DESIRE (8) was building towards a win for the new stable and was able to find suitable conditions last start at the mile. Finding the front, she was able to fend off the challengers to post a 5m margin. Likely to be trailing the speed, she can be stalking and ready to strike.
MAN OF ACTION (9) was working home off the track last start, had the momentum and arrived in the closing stages to score. With the same gate, he will be looking to repeat.
JUSTROLLINGAROUND (2) was asked to roll the sleeves and do it the tough way last start over 2138 where she missed the money. Settling handy, she can be thereabouts.SELECTIONS: MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (1), IDEAL DESIRE (8), MAN OF ACTION (9), JUSTROLLINGAROUND (2)

LADBROKES POPULAR SRM PACE 1660m
Race detailsWith two runs back for his 4YO term, THETORQUE MAJORITY (9) will be tightened further and finds a race which should generate good tempo. That will assist his chances of making the closing raid a winning one. Fading last start behind FINAL DEADLINE, the first up run was luckless from a wide gate behind MULLUM HANK.
LITTLELIONELJAMES (2) has been hitting good areas since the turn of the year, producing three wins and three minors in seven attempts. Dictating here last week with a new PB performance, he has early speed and three starts back descended on them to score. The versatility is a big plus.
MARY ANNE ROSE (4) has been kept fresh since a last start Penrith victory when finishing strongly from a second line gate. With good early speed, she can get forward to feature.
ROCKSNGEMS (3) has good early speed and a return to the front-line following gate 10 last time out will assist his claims. Not suited at 2138 two starts back, he is a podium player here.SELECTIONS: THETORQUE MAJORITY (9), LITTLELIONELJAMES (2), MARY ANNE ROSE (4), ROCKSNGEMS (3)
SUGGESTED BET: THETORQUE MAJORITY (9) to win
