BETTERTHAN POPSY (8) will need a slice of luck at some stage from this game as he looks in danger of being snookered. A beaten fav last start when setting the tempo and then fading, he will search for gaps.

TIMS A TROOPER (7) faces another tough gate, but is always a contender, regardless of circumstance. Working forward last start at 2138, he loomed in the stretch to be within a head of victory. He will be fighting again.

HECTOR (2) has been racing well without anything in his favour. Under 4m from SPEAK THE TRUTH last time out, he can feature here.

LULLABY (6) is given no favours from this gate, having been not far away in two starts since arriving in the Sunshine State. Runner-up at Menangle three starts back, she is in the mix.
