    BENSTUD STANDARDBREDS QUALIFYING PACE 2138m

    Race details

Although coming up with the second line gate, TYSON (11) has been meeting slightly stronger opposition to what he squares off against here. The tale of the tape shows that he has missed the money just once in seven outings since arriving, the latest when 2m away when ARRIVE charged late to score. This looks within reach.

    LA CAVALETTA (3)
has had three runs since changing states and arriving in Qld. Strong to the line first up when under 4m from the winner, both subsequent appearances have had merit. With good arm speed, he might just be able to get across here and from there give a sight.

    MIKIS JOE (2)
found the right set up here last week when finding the 1x1 trail and having just enough closing power to arrive for a narrow margin. Holding a spot from this gate, he has claims.

    MY ULTIMATE COSSIE (1)
made an early error that had him chasing the gate last time and was not too far from the winner. Going a little better than his figure form suggests, he is a place hope.

SELECTIONS: TYSON (11), LA CAVALETTA (3), MIKIS JOE (2), MY ULTIMATE COSSIE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: TYSON (11) to win

LADBROKES QUICK MULTI BAND 5 PACE 1660m

    Race details

The inside gate might be more a hindrance for CHARGE AHEAD (1) here for a horse that has been the lamp lighter just three times in his 37-start career, two of those when working forward to take over. Breaking through last start at Redcliffe, he was forced to cut the breeze over the 2138 the start prior. Clear space will be the key.

    BUDDY PERFECT (8)
will be sweating on the lead being held by the inside gate, allowing him to get the perfect trail trip. In super form at present, he has hit the board his past seven in succession. Runner-up at his past three, he will be stalking the speed ready to strike.

    APPLIED (6)
did plenty of work pressing forward from this same gate last time to sit parked and was game to the wire when just a half-head from BASILISK BOB. He will likely be rolling the sleeves again here.

    XPRESS PARTY (3)
was posted last week when trying to get forward, with no chair available. Snagged to the rear, he then went hunting short cuts to be just 5m from the winner after hitting dead ends. He can feature

SELECTIONS: CHARGE AHEAD (1), BUDDY PERFECT (8), APPLIED (6), XPRESS PARTY (3)
    SUGGESTED BET:
    Exotics 1-3-6-8

WOODLANDS STUD - YOUR GENETIC EDGE JUNIOR FFA 2138m

    Race details

ELLIS STREET (4) is the biggest query for this line up, appearing fresh up for the new barn off the back of an inconclusive trial. Finishing at the rear when last seen, he must be respected and with good early speed, can press forward and look to strike fresh.

    MOSSDALE TERRY (1)
angled to the poles here last start and faced a forlorn task chasing as CALL TO ORDER dictated a 54.2 closing half from the front. Not suited off the second line behind ATTACHMENT the start prior, if he can be leaders back, he can challenge here.

    CALL TO ORDER (6)
was sent hard off the arm and taking control here last week was able to fend off the challengers to stomp out a new career PB. Despite the gate, he can feature again.

    OZZIE PUNTA (8)
was not suited last start when asked to sit parked but was still game in defeat as CALL TO ORDER controlled proceedings. Saved for one shot, he will be probing the gaps.

SELECTIONS: ELLIS STREET (4), MOSSDALE TERRY (1), CALL TO ORDER (6), OZZIE PUNTA (8)
    SUGGESTED BET:

LUNCHBOX LODGE SPELLING FARM MARES QUALIFYING PACE 1660m

    Race details

On the short back up after saluting a first up victory on Tuesday, COOL AND CLASSY (5) can make it two in a week. Shut down following her dominant Sunshine Stars 3YO fillies victory, she returned at Redcliffe with a track record in her first standing start appearance and can emulate her name here.

    SEASIDE GLORY (6)
is chasing a hat-trick of her own following her last start win in a 75Final when proving too strong from the chair. Claiming a 4m margin in a mare’s qualifier the start prior, the wide gate dents her chances, but she has the class to issue a challenge.

    SWEET DIOR (2)
is still only lightly raced but backs up here from a strong front running victory last time out when starting deep into the red. Hitting the board in all five since arriving, she con continue that trend.

    OUT OF EDEN (1)
secures the mapping favours of the inside gate and can be following the speed awaiting some space. Under 3m from the winner last start, she is a podium player.

SELECTIONS: COOL AND CLASSY (5), SEASIDE GLORY (6), SWEET DIOR (2), OUT OF EDEN (1)
    SUGGESTED BET:
    Exotics 5 / 1-2-6

    RACING & SPORTS.COM QUALIFYING PACE 2138m

    Race details

A wide-open qualifier where early speed and mapping at the 2138 trip looks messy. SOHO CASABLANCA (9) was trying to work into the contest but could not get warm here last week as ARRIVE swept home. Chasing in vain behind FATE AWAITS the start prior, he strikes the right field to capitalise.

    GREAT WHITE (8)
was chasing home on the back of ARRIVE here last week when just missing the minor money, finishing under 4m from the winner. Darting through to grab the W the start prior from this same gate, if he can spot the gaps in time, he looms as a challenger.

    JEKAMIAS (2)
was trying to grip on in the Marburg Goldstrike two starts back when beaten a half-nec behind MARTIN MAGIC. Beaten by gate 7 last week despite being under 2m from the winner MIKIS JOE, he is right in the fight.

    AQUA SANCTA (6)
was taken back from gate 6 last time out at Redcliffe and made good metres int eh closing stages chasing home DOCTA FEELGOOD. Forget his Marburg run the start prior, he can be running on late.

SELECTIONS: SOHO CASABLANCA (9), GREAT WHITE (8), JEKAMIAS (2), AQUA SANCTA (6)
    SUGGESTED BET:
    SOHO CASABLANCA (9) to win

GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND MARES OPEN PACE 1660m

    Race details

A winner last start when taking them all the way, DAISY DIANA (6) closed it out with a 54.8 half with 4m to spare on the wire. Three starts back she started from this gate and sat in the 1x1 trail as ILOVECALENDARGIRL dictated from the front, finishing 5m astern. Despite the wide gate, she can look to reverse the last meeting.

    ILOVEACALENDARGIRL (5)
had the early speed to find the front last time out and was trying to take them all the way. With a strong tempo being set from the front, she was unable to see them off and faded late. Three weeks between runs had some impact and with the chance to get ahead of the main danger can bounce back.

    SWEET MIA (7)
was returning from a spell when settled in the running line from a second line barrier and making a late play to be 5m from the winner. Added fitness will assist her chances.

    REASON TO SHINE (9)
eased out of the early speed battle here last week and then was left searching for space that never arrived when 8m astern of POST PAINTER. She can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: DAISY DIANA (6), ILOVEACALENDARGIRL (5), SWEET MIA (7), REASON TO SHINE (9)
    SUGGESTED BET:
      DAISY DIANA (6) to win

PRYDE'S EASIFEED RACING CUBE TROTTERS MOBILE 2138m

    Race details

The open class trotting events have been throwing up a different winner each time over the past two months and might just do so again here. LOVE GUN (3) should be further tightened from his latest effort when 8m from the winner. Starting from gate 6 and eased across into the running line, the closing sections were solid. With an improved gate, he looms as a value chance.

    GOLDEN SUNSET (8)
has the options soon after the start as the lone second line runner to find the right path. Super consistent, she has hit the board at her past five in succession, the latest when under 3m from MUFASA METRO when trying to lead throughout. Beaten a head the start prior, she can throw it down.

    ALDEBARANSTILINSKI (2)
stepped up to open company with a win three starts back under mobile conditions, finding the trail and finishing over the top. Impressive in a recent trial, he is right in the mix.

    MUFASA METRO (5)
returned from a spell with a smart win at the mobile mile last time out. Finding the trail and darting through on the passing lane, he has the class to repeat.

SELECTIONS: LOVE GUN (3), GOLDEN SUNSET (8), ALDEBARANSTILINSKI (2), MUFASA METRO (5)
    SUGGESTED BET:
    LOVE GUN (3) win/place

SOMERSET FARMS MARES QUALIFYING PACE (B DIV) 1660m

    Race details

A tricky second division qualifier for the mares where MISS BAY KING COLE (4) might be able to strong arm her way to the front, which would be the right place to play. Pressing on last time to take control and hold on to claim a career PB 1.53.0 for the mile, she can look to repeat.

    TWO TICKS (2)
was 6m astern of the winner SWEET DIOR in a UDC heat back in February when starting off the second line. IN three subsequent appearances which have all been at Redcliffe, she has hit the board in each, including a gritty win when parked. From this gate she can challenge.

    SHES CRYSTAL (8)
has been to the trials twice in readiness for her first appearance since crossing the Tasman. Joining the Jack Butler team, she arrives a last start winner and just needs some luck from this gate.

    AT THE POINTY END (1)
showed very little interest from this same gate last week and was soon buried three back. Finding space and charging late when beaten a half-head, she will be probing.

SELECTIONS: MISS BAY KING COLE (4), TWO TICKS (2), SHES CRYSTAL (8), AT THE POINTY END (1)
    SUGGESTED BET:
MISS BAY KING COLE (4) to win

    R1 SYNDICATIONS MARES BAND 5 PACE 2138m

    Race details

A winner when sent to the front here two starts back, TOUGH SHAZ (1) had 4m to spare on the wire with a slick 54.2 closing panel. Forced to work last start from gate 7 and just peaking late, she secures the gate to dictate and fend off the challengers.

    HELL OF A HAND (2)
has placed in her past two starts, the latest when closing in good order for the bronze behind TILLY JAYNE. Eased to the fence two starts back and 7m from the winner SENSATIONALIZE, she can drop straight in behind here and look to challenge late.

    CHEER LEADER (5)
should appreciate the small field and will be further tightened after three runs back from a break. A close up 3rd when resuming, she can grab some minor money.

SELECTIONS: TOUGH SHAZ (1), HELL OF A HAND (2), CHEER LEADER (5)
    SUGGESTED BET:
    Exotics 1 / 2 / 3-4-5
