ARAMAC RACING CLUB STEWARDS REPORT 17/5/2003

WEATHER – Fine TRACK – Good RAIL – True
RACE 1: QTIS MAIDEN H'CAP – 1000m
G Peacock fined $50 for taking a ride for which he could not make the weight. Being the only rider available he was permitted to ride SHOT OF PASSION 1.5kg overweight.
SHOT OF PASSION jumped outwards coming into contact with TSHEPANK which in turn contacted NITRO LADY and KALINGA MIST.
RACE 2: CLASS 4 H'CAP – 1000m
MIGHTY EMPEROR raced greenly throughout and lugged out at the 800m.
RACE 3: CUP H'CAP – 1000m
Approaching the post the saddle slipped on ARAFA making it difficult for apprentice C Prow to pull that horse up.
RACE 4: CLASS 1 H’cap - 1200m
S Oates replaced G Peacock on REBEL ROD when that rider unable to make the weight.
During the race IMPERIAL LANDING stripped the front of its off hind fetlock.
RACE 5: CLASS 6 H'CAP – 1200m
Nothing to report.
RACE 6: MATILDA HIGHWAY CLASS 3 HANDICAP – 1400m
A protest was lodged by Garry Browne, the trainer of 4th placegetter ZULU WARRIOR, against SPEED TIME being declared 3rd. It was alleged that apprentice C Prow, the rider of SPEED TIME had allowed his mount to shift in after leaving the 100m causing inconvenience to ZULU WARRIOR which was racing on its inside. After taking evidence from all parties and on their own observations stewards upheld the objection and amended the placings as follows: 1st KEEP ME IN MIND, 2nd KALINGA MAGIC, 3rd ZULU WARRIOR, 4th SPEED TIME.
Apprentice C Prow was reprimanded for allowing his mount to shift ground.
WINNERS OF ALL RACES WERE SENT TO BE SWABBED.
