Race 1: CENTRAL TYRE SERVICE FC WILLIAMS MEMORIAL QTIS MAIDEN PLATE Distance – 1100 M
1st-Lightning McQueen 2nd-Miller 3rd-Rashen Roulette4th-Quarry Man
Rashen Roulette (Graham Kliese) &Hardacttofollow (Kerry Rockett) were slow into stride.
About 20 mtrs after the start Hardacttofollow (Kerry Rockett) clipped the heels of Miller (App Tats Fujinuma ) resulting in that horse blundering & dislodging the rider (Kerry Rockett) who suffered no ill effects from the fall.
On returning to the enclosure he was asked by stewards if he wished to see a doctor & his reply was that he was all right.
The trainer of Hardacttofollow Mr Gustaf Philpot requested to view the film of the race which was granted.Mr Philpot did not come to the stewards room for some time after the event to view the film
After correct weight was given stewards viewed the film which showed that the horse Miller who was fractious in the barrier jumped inwards, resulting in the incident & that the barrier gates of Hardacttofollow were fractionally slow to open & the starter Mr Moody was informed of this which he rectified.
When Mr Philpot did come to the steward’s room to view the film he asked that the horse be declared a non runner which was denied by stewards as correct weight was given.
At a subsequent inquiry into the incident (app Tats Fujinuma) was advised to show more care in future.
The Starter Mr Moody reported to stewards that the horse Miller required a tail in future races as it wanted to sit down in the barriers.

Race 2:TABLELAND HYDROPONICS CLASS B HANDICAP Distance – 1400 M
1st-The Cats Back 2nd- Bold Barassi 3rd-Shes Supreme4th-Zivador
Éclair Filante (Ian Toward) overaced from the 1200mtrs to approx the 800mtrs
Ferro (Ron Ryan) reared out of the barriers at the start.
Shes Supreme (Kerry Rockett) blundered shortly after the start.
After viewing the film of the race stewards informed the starter Mr Moody that the barrier gate of number one was slow to open which he rectified

Race 3:ATHERTON SHOWCASEJEWELERS/ADINA WATCHES CLASS 3 PLATE Distance -1100 M
1st-Berate 2nd- Lakeful 3rd-D/H Hellbound Lujain &Nicaragua4th-Sweet Roxy
Trainer Mrs Gaye Cifuentes reported to stewards her horse Robin the Hood be inspected by the vet because of a float mishap.
The horse was inspected & passed fit to start.
Our Rare Gem (App Katsuto Yoneyama) raced wide throughout the event.
At a subsequent inquiry into an incident at approx the 200mtrs jockey (Jeffrey Felix) was issued with a severe reprimand for his ride.

Race 4: ATHERTON AMCAL CHEMIST OPEN HANDICAP Distance – 1100 M
1st –Gaelic Lad 2nd -Hotelier 3rd –Captain Wheland 4th-Carry OnAce
Hotelier (David Crosland) became fractious in the barriers before the start & subsequently reared out of the barriers &was slow into stride.
At about the 100mtr mark Captain Wheland (Justin P Stanley) hung in momentarily the jockey stoped riding &straightened his mount.
The starter Mr Moody reported to stewards that Hotelier should be loaded late in future races.
Before correct weight was given jockey (David Crosland) wished to view the photo finish print after viewing the photo finish print he was satisfied with the judge’s decision &correct weight was given.

Race 5:TONKIN STEEL CLASS 6 HANDICAP Distance – 1200 M
1st -Andamon 2nd -Danzano 3rd –Teejay Hunter 4th-Khataaf

No incidents in running



Race 6:BARRON VALLEY HOTEL/BUNDABERG RUM ATHERTON CUP OPEN HANDICAP Distance -2000 M
1st -Xaartrik 2nd –Zero To Hero 3rd –Havana Wind 4th-Pure Silence
Our Morning Glory (Ian Toward) began to overace in the early stages of the race
Hobsons Choice(Mark Dale) was slow into stride.
