Race1: BOTTLEMART MALANDA BENCHMARK 70 HANDICAP 1100MTRS
1st –Mr. Bulister 2nd –Meredith 3rd –Chronic 4th -Bellaspirit

Kerry Rockett advised stewards before race one that he would be unable to ride as he was broken down on the Herberton Range, He was replaced by Bradyn Swaffer.

Bella spirit (Stephen Wilson) and Chronic ( Braydn Swaffer) were slow into stride.

Canyon Road (Shane Pawsey) blundered badly at the 450mtr. Mark.


Race 2: TOM ENGLISH CLASS B HANDICAP 1000 MTRS
1st –Winged Warrior 2nd -Glaurung 3rd –Pudzianowski 4th –Rojo Buzz

Stephen Wilson was the replacement rider on GLAURUNG as Apprentice( Nor Yadi) wished to stand down for the meeting as there was a passing in the family. Permission was granted by stewards.

SIGNIFICANT CHOICE ( Juliet Kuskoph) was slow into stride.

LILLABELLE ( Frank Edwards) and ROJO BUZZ ( Sonja Wiseman) came together at the start.

BUSH VERSION ( Emma Ljung) travelled very wide rounding the home corner.



Race 3: MALANDA HOTEL CUP MAIDEN PLATE 1200 MTRS
1st –She’s Legal 2nd -Venceremos 3rd - Liable 4th – I see Romance

Braydn Swaffer was the replacement rider on I See Romance for Apprentice Nor yadi.

LIABLE (Sonja Wiseman) was slow into stride at barrier rise.

Race 4: 1911 RESTAURANT BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1200 MTRS
1st – Love That Dragon2nd – Air of Heaven 3rd –Towser 4th –Cyclone Larry

Jockey (Kerry Rockett) reported to stewards that he was overweight and had to forgo the ride on his mount CYCLONE LARRY. At an inquiry as to why he was overweight stewards charged Jockey Rockett under rule120b and fined him $200.
Jockey (Jamie Dickenson) was the replacement rider on CYCLONE LARRY.

Apprentice (Emma Ljung) was the replacement rider on CLIFFORD JOHN as apprentice (Nor Yadi) became indisposed.

Upon leaving the barriers GREAT IMPRESSIONS (Mark Atkinson) brushed the side of the barriers.

CLIFFORD JOHN (Emma Ljung) and GREAT IMPRESSIONS (Mark Atkinson) were slow to begin after coming together at the start.

GREAT IMPRESSIONS (Mark Atkinson) wanted to duck in while under pressure the home straight.



Race 5:SPAR- MALANDA BENCHMARK65 HANDICAP1400 MTRS
1st –Will Impress 2nd –Lil’ Red Monkey 3rd –Strictly Magic 4th – Discarded Bullet

WILD RUMOURS was a late scratching at 12:00 pm ordered by the Stewards acting on veterinary advice as WILD RUMOURS was found to be lame. All bookmakers were notified prior to the race. The Trainer of WILD RUMOURS Nicole Homann was advised by stewards that she must produce a Veterinary certificate of clearance for the horse before the mare starts again.


STRICTLY MAGIC (Braydn Swaffer) hung out from the 700mtrs until entering the home corner
STRICTLY MAGIC was also slow into stride.
