SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS

Bronze Hula was a late Scratching at 8.44 am by order of the Stewards acting on Vet’s advice after that mare was found to be lame when inspected by trainer P. Townsend on the morning of the race. Trainer P. Townsend was advised that BRONZE HULA would require a Veterinary clearance prior to its next start.


RACE 1: ASHLEY GREENWAY MEMORIAL MAIDEN PLATE 1000M –
1st –WAR SONG 2nd –I’M NOT GUILTY 3rd –PROUD JESTER 4th -KWILATYPE

WAR SONG (G Geran) jumped awkwardly and was slow to begin.

Idol Games (E Wilson) was hampered at the start when MOLLIFY (C Rogers) jumped out.

Approaching the 600m, IDOL GAMES had to be checked when tightened for room by FILAJOY (D Baker) and IT’S MY GOLD (R Mules). Whilst Stewards could not attribute blame to any one rider both D Baker and R Mules were reminded of the obligations when shifting ground.

MOLLIFY AND KWILATYPE (C Schumacher) both raced wide for the majority of the race.

RACE 2: “RAT” RICHARDSON MEMORIAL CLASS 6 H’CAP 1000m –
1st –MIRIMBA BAY 2nd –DESERT STAR 3rd –LORD TULLUN 4th –STROMY BEND

JUNK BOND (G Geran) which lost considerable ground at the start, jumped with its head in the air. Shortly after that gelding stumbled almost dislodging G Geran.

DESERT STAR (J Riorden) raced wide for the majority of the race.

RACE 3:CRAIGLEA/RAHEEN/MARR’S MATILDA HIGHWAY CLASS 3 H’CAP 1000M –
1st –HAYLING GOLD 2nd –OUTBACK BOY 3rd –STAR OF MINTO 4th –MERRY PIERCE

DUCK ‘N’ DIVE (C BAKER) was declared a late scratching at 2.55pm by order of the Stewards acting on Veterinary advice after that mare reared up in the barriers sustaining a laceration to its off side shoulder. Subsequent to the event, all monies invested on DUCK ‘N’ DIVE were ordered to be refunded, with deductions of 7 cents in the dollar on the face value of win bets, 8 cents in the dollar on the face value of place bets. DUCK ‘N’ DIVE’S Trainer S. Iverson was advised by Stewards that a warning would be placed on the mare for its barrier manners and that a Veterinary clearance would be required prior to the mare starting in a race.

Prior to the declaration of Correct Weight Jockey G Geran the rider of BOLD BENNY made application to the Stewards to have his mount declared a non-runner claiming that he was denied a fair start. After viewing the Stewards patrol film and taking evidence from the Steward on the spot, Stewards could not be satisfied that BOLD BENNY was impeded at the start, therefore Stewards declared BOLD BENNY a starter and declared correct weight.

At the start OUTBACK BOY (C Dixon) jumped in making contact with BOLD BENNY which lost ground.

Approaching the 100m, OUTBACK BOY shifted out under hard riding making contact with HAYLING GOLD (R Mules). C Dixon the rider OUTBACK BOY was reminded of his obligations when shifting ground.

RACE 4: SUNCORP AGRIBUSINESS “MEATANT CUP” OPEN H’CAP 1200M –
1st -GALLAGHER 2nd –GOLD RIMU 3rd –MIDNIGHT SILENCE 4th -NARRABEEN

SOLAR DANCER (R MULES) jumped out at the start making heavy contact with TONES (D Rewald).

SAN PHILLIPE (J Riorden) over raced in the early and middle stages.

GALLAGHER (C Dixon) which shifted out when being hard ridden, made contact with GOLD RIMU (G Thomson) over the concluding stages of the race. C Dixon the rider of GALLAGHER was reprimanded in this incident by Stewards for allowing his mount to shift out.

RACE 5:XXXX GOLD ELLANGOWAN HOTEL CLASS B H’CAP 1200M –
1st –NOTHIN’LEICA’MINTO 2nd –RIVER CARD 3rd –BELLS ARE ROCKING 4th –EL COBAR

As R Mules was stood down by the Ambulance official after injuring his foot during the previous race, apprentice Jockey J Riorden replaced R Mules as the rider of KELABU JUTAWAN as no other senior riders were available.

AWESOME STORM (C Dixon) and KELABU JUTAWAN (J Riorden) both jumped awkwardly and were slow to begin.

BIONIC BLAZE (C Baker) shifted in over the concluding stages.
