RACE 1
The start was delayed when WINDOWSILL was declared a late scratching at 1.37 pm when that mare was unable to be loaded. Trainer S. Simpkins was advised that mare would require a barrier certificate prior to its next start. On the announcement of correct weight, deductions of 19 cents the win and 17 cents the place on the face value of the ticket applied.
COMHAYAA raced greenly in the early and middle stages. Trainer I. Jackson was advised a warning would be placed on that geldings racing manners.
RACE 2
Approaching the 300 metres, PERSONNEL shifted out taking ROYAL BADA wider on the track and shortly after shifted in hampering GET MOBILE. C. Clarke, the rider of PERSONNEL was advised to exercise more care.
GET MOBILE shifted out at the 200 metres hampering PERSONNEL. P. Lindeberg, the rider of GET MOBILE was advised to exercise more care.
RACE 3
ARCHER’S HOPE was slow to begin.
Approaching the 1000 metres, PALACE EDITION shifted in when not clear of MUHALIA which clipped that geldings heels and was taken in onto FLASH FRED which had to be checked and lose ground.
L. Appo, rider of PALACE EDITION, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under AR.137(a) in that approaching the 1000 metres he allowed that horse to shift in when not clear of MUHALIA which clipped that geldings heels and was taken in onto FLASH FRED which had to be checked and lost ground. L. Appo’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 8 meetings to commence at midnight on Sunday 24 November 2002 up to and including Sunday 7 December 2002.
RACE 4
VALERE and MANPOZEST made contact on jumping away.
CELESTIAL WIND jumped away awkwardly and lost ground.
