BUNDABERG RACE CLUB STEWARDS REPORT 10th JULY 2004

STEWARDS: WR MOORE (Chr) (Mr N CUNNINGTON & Mr B WENDT CLUB)

TRACK SURFACE: SAND

General: App F Sendon contacted Stewards to advise due to car failure he would be unable to ride at todays meeting with Stewards approving the following riding changes
Race 1 App M Taylor – RITE TO SUCCESS
Race 2 As no suitable Apprentice was available Stewards acceded to a request from the Trainer of JAYREE MISS Mr A Emery and allowed Jky P Lindeberg to ride.

Race 1 TEN QUEENSLAND SOUTHERN CROSS NETWORK CLASS 5 HCP 1212MTRS

On jumping away CREPITATE (Jky C Kearney) and MACHTIG PONOTEVICH (App M Radecker) came together.

Race 2 BOYLAN’S PRODUCE CLASS A HCP 1212MTRS

WHIPPY (Jky W Schmidt) was slowly away.

PRIDE OF SIMBA (App K Treble) jumped inwardly making heavy contact with OPPOSING VIEW (Jky J Hoopert)

INNKEEPER’S STAR (App J Dagan) shifted ground when ridden out in the straight.

Race 3 CLASSIC GOLD 4BU HINKLER LIGHTING 1090MTRS

SIT HERE DEAR (App S Drake) jumped awkwardly taking HOLSTARR (App D Van Bekkum) out onto MISS RUTHERFORD (App K Treble)

The winner MISS RUTHERFORD was swabbed.

Race 4 93.9 HITZ FM BUNABERG GOLD CUP HCP 1380MTRS

Jky B Calkin was stood after reporting he was ill. Jky Calkin was instructed he must give a Doctors Certificate to Stewards before riding again. Jky L Appo replaced Jky B Calkin as the rider of TEKWILLA.

PENNY LONG LASHES (App S Drake) and GLADMAC (App D Van Bekkum) came together on jumping away.

Approaching the 900mtrs WITH INTENT (Jky C Kearney) became unbalanced.

Nearing the 100mtr mark GLADMAC (App D Van Bekkum) has shifted in brushing CRAIGLEA EGO (Jky T Kruger)
The winner HE’S A KWILA was swabbed.

Race 5 GRAIGLEA STUD QTIS CLASS 2 HCP 1090MTRS

The prize money shown in the race book was not as advised in the Racing Magazine

Jky T Kruger replaced Jky B Calkin as the rider of MANSWORD.

STAMUS PRO HONNEUR (App M Radecker) dwelt at the start.

Stewards opened an inquiry into an incident where App J Dagan was dislodged from STARLIGHT QUEEN approaching the 900mtr mark. Evidence was taken from Jky L Appo (GRAIGLEA KNIGHT), Jky J Hoopert (ANNSMAN), Jky W Schmidt (MY BELLADONNA), Jky T Kruger (MANSWORD), Jky P Lindeberg (SAHARA FLIER), App M Radecker (STAMUS PRO HONNEUR) and App B Thompson (HAZCHEM) Stewards adjourned the enquiry to a time and date to be set to allow App J Dagan to give evidence. Stewards took possession of App Dagan’s skull cap to be examined due to the mature of the fall.

App Dagan was transported by Ambulance to the local Hospital with a suspected fractured ankle

STARLIGHT QUEEN was inspected by the Club Vet who reported the horse had a laceration to N/F fetlock area.

The winner MANSWORD was swabbed.
