At the 850m ST BOLERO (C Beets) was eased when the gelding improved onto the heels of FLYING MOSSMAN (I Coombes).

RED TSAR (App S Kennedy) & SPENIT shifted ground on the home turn.

The winner SPENIT was swabbed.

Race 2: ANZ Financial Planning Maiden Hcp – 1090m.

(1) REGAL BOO (2) OWIE (3) BELLA PRINCIPESSA (4) PRINCE HAVOC

FAST HORSE (I Coombes) raced wide throughout.

BELLA PRINCIPESSA (D Van Bekkum) shifted ground on the home turn.

The winner REGAL BOO was swabbed.

Race 3: ANZ Bundaberg & West Branches Open Hcp – 1090m.

(1) SUNTANNED (2) LADY IN SILK (3) PROTEST VOTE (4) DYNAMIC DANCING
ANDURIL (C Kearney) jumped away awkwardly resulting in HENAVARI (S Bayliss) being hampered and lost ground. Stewards advised Jky C Kearney to exercise more care in the future and straighten his mounts when they shift ground in future race rides.

HENAVARI raced wide throughout.

The winner SUNTANNED was swabbed.

Race 4: ANZ Personal Loans Class 2 Hcp – 1380m

Stewards adjourned an inquiry into the scratching of ASHLAND to a time and date to allow Trainer M Hassam who was not present at the meeting to be questioned regarding this matter.

LUMIERE D’ETOILE (R Hancock) was slowly away.

FRANCISCAN FRIAR (D Gill) raced wide in the straight.
