RACE 1 DON GARDINER CHEMISTS & KING & CO SOLICITORS HANDICAP – 950M
THAT STAR was slow to begin. COMTESSE STAR jumped awkwardly. STARDUST MEMORIES hung out throughout the event. Stable representative for Mr. Stephen Jones was advised the horse would have to barrier trial prior to its next race start. Approaching the 300m, IMPRESSIVE STYLE was briefly tightened for room by EAST OF GREENMOUNT which shifted in when racing greenly.
RACE 2 PRIMAC ELDERS & PFIZER ANIMAL HEALTH HANDICAP – 1200M
Due to transportation difficulties, J. Pollard failed to arrive on course and was subsequently replaced by A. Nicholls on APPRENTICE and S. Shield on BANTRY in race 3.
APPRENTICE and DOUBLE BILL were both slow to begin. After leaving the room FUTURE MASTER shifted briefly tightening the running of GLOBAL WARNING who then made contact with the hind quarters of FEELING STRONG which became unbalance.
RACE 3 BROADLANDS FARM & NICHOL ROBINSON HALLETT SOLICITORS HANDICAP – 1650M
YALLAH’S GIFT reared at the start and lost considerable ground. PROFESSIONAL GIRL had to be checked off the heels of the tiring KELLINA PORTRAIT rounding the home turn and was held up for clear running until the 100m.
RACE 4 JOHN WYATT ELECTRICAL & BEAUDESERT VETERINARY CLINIC HANDICAP – 1400M
HAMAKI jumped away awkwardly. MAGICO reared at the start and lost considerable ground. Approaching the 900m, MAGICO had to be checked after improving up onto the heels of MY JEWEL.
RACE 5 BEAUDESERT RSL DIGGERS CLUB – 1100M
Approaching the 700 metres, AKAARI shifted in away from JACKHAMMER and as a result made contact with BALIUS which became unbalanced. Inside the 100m AKAARI shifted in and made contacted with JACKHAMMER.
