SUPPLEMENTARY Report .

From Goondiwindi 21-03-09.
Stewards today concluded the adjourned inquiry from Race 4 on the programme at Goondiwindi in which both JUST A THIEF ( B CALKIN ) and JEROME’S STAR ( APP D MO ) fell approaching the 800m .Stewards after taking evidence from all riders concerned and the statement from the Duty Steward on the day ,as well as the evidence of the patrol film ,concluded that leaving the 900m JUST A THIEF was racing in restricted room on the inside however nearing the 800m JUST A THIEF became awkward and slipped behind and fell . JEROME’S STAR which was following could not avoid the fallen horse and also fell .
Stewards after taking all of the circumstances into account could not blame any rider and believed that JUST A THIEF ,fell of its own accord .
