Race 1: QPS INVESTMENT GROUP BM70 H’CAP – 1400M

MIGHTYSUI – Had to be steadied when crowded for room near the 300m.

VIVAHEART – Raced wide for the majority of the event.

CHEATIN’ CHARLIE – Slow to begin.

Race 2: PSP QTIS 3YO MAIDEN PLATE – 1400M

DESERT GAMBLER – Inconvenienced shortly after the start.

SECRET TRYST – Slow to begin. Had to be steadied from heels near the 400m. Inconvenienced when bumped near the 200m.

TEAR US APART – Shifted out to avoid another runner shortly after the start. Raced wide for the majority of the event.

ASTER BLOOM – Inconvenienced shortly after the start.

HOLD ME – Began awkwardly.

SUSTAIN – Held up rounding the home turn. Shifted out near the 200m and made contact with another runner.

Race 3: BEAUDESERT AUSTRALIA DAY RACES MAIDEN H’CAP – 1300M

FEDSON – Tightened for room shortly after the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lacerations to both hind fetlocks.

STAR AMORE – Raced wide for the majority of the event. Lost the off hind plate in running.

ELEGANTLY – Began awkwardly.

Following the running of this race the track was upgraded to GOOD 3.

Race 4: XXXX MAIDEN H’CAP – 1050M

INDESTRUCTIBLE – When questioned regarding her tactics, apprentice J. Greacen stated that she had difficulty restraining behind BOOM BOX and therefore shifted to the outside of the heels of that horse, however was then carried three wide when BOOM BOX shifted out near the 700m from behind ELUSIVENESS and then raced wide from that point on, bearing in mind the instructions from the trainer were not to restrain the horse unnecessarily. Stewards noted apprentice Greacen’s comments.

NATURAL SIGN – Began awkwardly.

INEVITABILITY – When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, T. Harrison reported that in her opinion the horse would take benefit from racing in a clockwise direction for the first time. She added that she advised connections that the colt would appreciate races over further distance than today’s event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

SHORAIGH STAR – Tightened for room shortly after the start.

Race 5: TRADE ALLIANCE CLASS 1 H’CAP - 1050M

AMAZING FATE – Began awkwardly and lost ground.

SECRET PROCESS – Slow to begin. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, T. Harrison stated that after beginning awkwardly, she was unable to obtain a forward position as anticipated. She added that the mare performs best when able to obtain a leading position and as a result of racing further back felt that this had a detrimental effect on the performance.

POCILLO – Began awkwardly.

CRAFTY’S LAST – Slow to begin. Apprentice R. Payne reported that her mount was inclined to lay in throughout the event.

Race 6: TRADE ALLIANCE CLASS 1 H’CAP – 1050M

FLYFILLYFLY was a late scratching at 11.26 am on veterinary advice.


PUNK STAR – Slow to begin.

DAYTIME HERO – Raced wide throughout.

Race 7: BEAUDESERT SOFT DRINKS RATINGS BAND 0-62 H’CAP – 1200M

SANSHO DAYU – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to race.

ARTISTIC CHOICE – Began awkwardly.

NORDIC GIRL – Lost the near hind plate in running.

Race 8: BARRIER REEF POOLS CLASS 2 H’CAP – 1400M

UNSPOKEN – Tightened for room, checked and blundered over the concluding stages. Apprentice J. Greacen, the rider of WARSHIP, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR. 137(a) for permitting her mount to shift in at that stage when insufficiently clear of UNSPOKEN. Apprentice Greacen’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 7 meetings, to commence at midnight on 22 November and expire at midnight on Friday 5 December 2014.

AKBAR – Began awkwardly.

STREET ROSE – Raced wide throughout.

PRECIOUS DRAGON – Overraced in the early stages. Lost the off hind plate in running.

SHE WHO KNOWS – Crowded for room over the concluding stages.

LOADED AND READY – Tightened for room at the start and lost ground. Had to be eased when tightened for room approaching the 600m.
