Race 1: Isa Tyres & Virbac Maiden Plate 900 metres:
1st – READY TO DAZZLE 2nd – COUPLE MICKIES 3rd – OVERTONE ARIA 4th – MARTEAU

OVERTONE ARIA – Stewards permitted A Spradau to ride gelding 1/2kg overweight over its declared weight when no other rider was available. Jockey reported that gelding which was having its first start on the dirt raced wide throughout and resented the kickback.

RAPID DESIRE – Slow to begin.

MARTEAU – Raced wide throughout.

Race 2: Camooweal Roadhouse & Post Office Hotel Benchmark 55 Handicap 900 metres:
1st – FLYING INDY 2nd – EXTRA 3rd – WAYNE’S IFT 4th – HONEST ACTION

VOLATILE ROSE - scratched as no rider was available.

RAPMAN - Was slow into stride.

EXTRA - Raced wide rounding the home turn.

ONCE AGAIN MELADY - Raced wide rounding the home turn.

WAYNE’S GIFT - Raced wide rounding the home turn.

Race 3: L & M Miller and L & W Hick Benchmark 70 Handicap 1000 metres:
1st – WHETSTONE 2nd – ITZABLUR 3rd – OSCARMANIA 4th – ROOM EIGHT

TAP IN BIRDIE – Which was fractious in the tie-up stalls was inspected by the club’s veterinary officer and found to be lame in the off hind leg. Trainer Mr P Miller was told that prior to TAP IN BIRDIE racing again he must furnish a veterinary certificate of fitness.

ITZABLUR - Was marginally slow away.

OSCARMANIA - Raced wide rounding the home turn.

ROOM EIGHT - Raced wide rounding the home turn.

Stewards inquired into an incident which occurred in the vicinity of the 800 metres whereby WHETSTONE (Apprentice T Tincknell), shifted inwards when not sufficiently clear of ROOM EIGHT (M Cummings), dictating that runner inwards and causing UNLOVED (K Ballard) to be eased and lose ground. After hearing evidence and viewing the patrol footage, Stewards issued a severe reprimand to apprentice Tincknell for careless riding under AR 137(a).

Race 4: Brunette Downs Social Club/Avon Downs Social Club Benchmark 60 Handicap 1200 metres:
1st – BULLRAMA 2nd – MORE DUST 3rd – MONTH OF SUNDAYS 4th – GOLD VISION

BULLRAMA - Raced wide most of the way.

MORE DUST - Raced wide rounding the home turn.

MAHMENTUM – Stewards questioned A Spradau regarding the disappointing performance. He stated that after being slow to begin the gelding then commenced to hang out and resented racing in the kickback.

Race 5: Isa Tyres Camooweal Cup Open Handicap Class 3 Plate 1200 metres:
1st – BIANCO ROSSA 2nd – THE GALLOWS 3rd – STELLAR SHOW 4th – BUFFETT

STELLAR SHOW – Which had been fractious in the tie-ups was examined by the club’s veterinary officer and passed fit to start

THE GALLOWS - Raced wide most of the way.
