CHARTERS TOWERS AMATEUR RACE CLUB STEWARDS REPORT SATURDAY 19/10/02

STEWARDS PANEL: W. BETHEL (CHAIRMAN), M. STEHBENS

WEATHER - FINE TRACK - GOOD

RACE 1: MAIDEN HANDICAP - 800 METRES

When the start was effected NIGHTS OF GLORY jumped outwards and severely hampered MS HAVOC.

ZONIK was slow to get into stride.

RACE 2: CLASS 1 HANDICAP - 1000 METRES

CEDAR LANE was a late withdrawal, by order of the stewards, as no rider was available.

In running CREDIT LINE shifted out and hampered STRONG VERSE.

Near the 100 metres LIVA LIVA (L. Critoph) shifted in under pressure and bumped STRONG VERSE, despite the efforts of L. Critoph, who stopped riding and straightened his mount.

RACE 3: WEIGHT-FOR-AGE - 1400 METRES

There were no racing incidents.

RACE 4: CLASS 4 HANDICAP - 1600 METRES

SEARADA and IMTENT were slow to begin.

Near the 1400 metres FIXED PATH, which was overracing, was restrained to avoid the heels of TRULY OURS, then threw its head in the air, shifted out and lost ground.

RACE 5: CLASS 6 PLATE - 1200 METRES

There were no racing incidents.

ALL WINNERS WERE SENT TO BE SWABBED.

GENERAL:

Apprentice G. Porter was reprimanded and fined $100 for accepting the rides on REHAB and FIXED PATH, for which he was overweight. (AR.120(b)).
